Founded in the 4th century, St. Anthony, the world’s oldest living monastery of the Coptic Orthodox faith, is mysteriously hidden among the Red Sea’s mountain ranges, approximately a 3-hour drive from Hurghada. We’ll get a chance to explore the ancient church, historical icons, the monks quarters, the spring-fed water creek, the monastery’s farm, and the towers which were once used to hoist individuals from the exterior of the monastery into its interior.

monastery exotic and very calm. I will go back there - very beautiful, serene place with splendid scenery; Pay attention to opening dates. I will go back there

Gerges is my one and only guide in Egypt, simply the best! - We have been visiting many landmarks of Egypt with him for several years now. He is full of knowledge, patient (which is very important to me) and knows when the time is right for a tour. He knows the monks in the monasteries and we are always welcome. We went to dinner in restaurants that you can't find on your own and ate authentic food! He explains beautifully and he is born for this job! This photos are from St. Paul monastery. 2 years ago we were at St. Anthony❤
