Kuixinglou - Initially constructed in 1725 during the Yongzheng era of the Qing Dynasty, near the Confucius Temple by Fuzichi, this site was a revered location for scholars seeking literary success. It was dismantled in 1953 due to its deteriorated state. In the 1990s, during the Linjiangmen area’s renovation, it was relocated and expanded to its present location. Kuixing Tower is particularly intriguing due to its unique terrain. The ground-floor plaza and the plaza on the 22nd floor are linked, creating an optical illusion where visitors feel as though they are on the 1st floor, while actually being on the 22nd floor. The suspended bridge between the two high-rise buildings, approximately 65 meters above the ground, provides a breathtaking view of the Jialing River and the cityscape. It also served as a filming location for the movie Better Days, drawing many fans to visit.
-
Jiefangbei Square - As Chongqing’s iconic landmark, the Liberation Monument (officially People’s Liberation Monument) is the sole monument in China commemorating the victory of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. Situated in the heart of Yuzhong District’s lively pedestrian street, it merges rich history with vibrant modernity, making it a must-see for every traveler. Originally erected in 1941 as the “Spiritual Fortress” to uplift national morale during the war, it was rebuilt in 1947 as the “Monument to the Victory of the War of Resistance”. In 1950, it was renamed by Liu Bocheng, symbolizing the nation’s struggle and liberation. This 27.5-meter-tall octagonal structure, with clocks on its top, is a national key cultural relic protection unit and a symbol of Chongqing’s resilience.
-
Tongyuan Gate Park - At Tongyuan Gate, visitors can see one of the remaining ancient city gates of old Chongqing. They can walk along the restored city wall, explore the stone archway, and observe traditional architectural details that reflect the city’s long history. The area also offers great views of the surrounding old streets and hillside neighborhoods, providing a strong sense of how Chongqing appeared centuries ago. It’s a quiet, atmospheric place perfect for photos and learning about the city’s past.
-
Liziba Station - Next, the subway will take visitors to Liziba station, a social media sensation, attracting many people to take photos and videos because of the unique sight of the light rail passing through residential buildings. The guide will explain the story behind this design upon arrival.
-
Danzishi Old Street Scenic Area - At Danzishi, visitors can stroll through a vibrant riverside area filled with renovated old streets, cafés, and local shops. This neighborhood, perched on a high riverside slope, is renowned as one of the best places in Chongqing to enjoy the night view. From here, the brightly lit skyline, river bridges, and city reflections shimmering on the water can be seen. It’s an ideal spot for taking stunning photos and experiencing Chongqing’s famous nighttime scenery. Dinner will also be enjoyed here.
-
Nanbin Road - Each evening, the skyscrapers along the riverside in the city center light up with neon lights, illuminating the Yangtze River and Jialing River. The dazzling lights create a magnificent spectacle, overwhelming the senses. This is also one of the highlights of the private service—where the guide will drive along the riverbank, allowing visitors to fully appreciate the bustling night scenery of Chongqing.
-
Hongya Cave - This is one of the most popular attractions in Chongqing, known for its stunning night view illuminated by dazzling lights, which complement the other night views along the Yangtze River. Instead of being crowded inside with other tourists (mostly souvenir shops and snack stalls), visitors will be taken to the best vantage point to admire its night scenery and capture memorable photos.
