• Fuxian Lake - Meet the tour guide in the lobby of your Kunming hotel and board a private, air-conditioned vehicle for a direct trip to Fuxian Lake (1 hour). During the journey, the tour guide will share fascinating legendary stories, and guests are encouraged to ask any questions they may have.

• Luchong Village Scenic Resort - Upon arrival, the tour begins at Luchong Village, known for its Anti-wave Fishing and the Big Banyans. Guests may opt for a boat ride at their own expense or choose to hike up the mountain for a bird’s-eye view of Fuxian Lake.

Next, proceed to the Star Scenic Area. Accompanied by the tour guide, climb 499 steps to the renowned Azure Clouds Temple. Explore the magnificent pavilions, terraces, and towers within the temple and learn about its history and stories. Then, reach Lotus Peak for a panoramic view of Fuxian Lake, Azure Clouds Reservoir, and the surrounding mountains. Visit the Star Fishing Holes, where over 200 fishing holes are located. During fishing season, fishermen use water wheels beside the holes to catch Anti-Wave Fish. Lunch will be served here.

Guests can choose to pay extra for a boat trip to Lonely Mountain, where they can visit the Lanke Ground, Facing-the-Wind Pavilion, Fairy Cave, and Double Stone. There is also a fish-watching platform to observe the clustered black carps.

• Chengjiang - Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading to the Chengjiang Fossil Site. Recognized as a UNESCO Site, Chengjiang’s fossils provide the most comprehensive record of an early Cambrian marine community with exceptionally preserved biota, showcasing the anatomy of both hard and soft tissues across a wide range of organisms, both invertebrate and vertebrate. They document the early development of a complex marine ecosystem. The site records at least sixteen phyla and various enigmatic groups, as well as approximately 196 species, offering exceptional insight into the rapid diversification of life on Earth 530 million years ago, when nearly all of today’s major animal groups emerged. It provides a palaeobiological window of great significance to scholarship.

Spend some time exploring the museum and area, and when ready, guests will be transferred back to their hotel in Kunming.
