Uluru - Great tour with plenty of interesting facts and insight from our guide Jad. He brought the place to life explaining the cultural significance of the region and the importance to its original inhabitants. Hard not to moved by the place. Like nowhere else we have ever been

Uluru and BBQ Dinner. - Great tour and tour guide gave you plenty of time to take photos and check out the Uluru Cultural Centre! Well worth doing and dinner was large! Heaps of Steaks and Sausages left and left overs was given to the local indigenous guests selling paintings to bus tour guests. Added value of sunset photos….we got a full rainbow over the Rock! ❤️❤️ The guide mentioned to us he has seen a rainbow only once over the Rock in 3 years here!

Emu Run Experience – 1 Day Uluru & Sunset BBQ Tour - What an incredible day! From start to finish, this tour was thoughtfully run and thoroughly enjoyable. Our guide was not only knowledgeable but also accommodating (even with the locals). The coach was comfortable and well-equipped. Every stop on the itinerary was delivered as promised, giving us a spectacular experience into the heart of Uluru. We were treated to chilled apples along the way, and the sunset BBQ was a true highlight—generous servings of fresh salads, bread, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The tour begins in Alice Springs, with convenient pick-up and drop-off at Ayers Rock Resort before returning to Alice Springs. A driver change mid-way ensures safety and professionalism throughout the journey.

Beware - The tour started out ok. We had 8 total in our initial group. After tour guide informed us that the regular tour guide was on holiday, we quickly learned this was going to downhill. We made several stops to walk around and we were told we could leave our belongings on the tour bus so we did not have to carry it around. There were 3 members in our group who took off when walking, and the tour guide was with them giving them info. The result was us (the other 5) did not get the info, so we had to keep asking him to repeat himself and then it was an abreviated version. At one point he advised us to get off the bus and walk on the path and he would go park the bus and double back to meet up with us. He did not tell us how far to walk. So we begau walking. It was 104 degrees F (41 degrees C). We walked and sweated. And then we met up with him on the path then we all had to double back becuase we had walked past some spots that he wanted to tell us about. They since that happened, we had to wait for other tour groups as they were in the spots. Then he told us we would be meeting up with 6 others at the BBQ. We got to the BBQ site and the other 6 were not there, so we had to wait about an hour. The other group with 6 arrived and they started setting up for the BBQ. We were told we could walk around and take pictures. Next thing we saw was OUR tour bus taking off with our belongings. We were told that it was no problem and that the tour bus would be back......but our belongings were on the bus and several of us needed items that were on the bus. We were told they forgot something so had to go back to get stuff (they did not tell us what they forgot but we assumed it was something for the BBQ because they could not start the BBQ till the bus got back). The bus finally returned and could once again get access to our belongings on the tour bus. We then had to quickly eat and were rushed to get back on the bus for the return. Also, as we learned, the other 6 were now riding back on our tour bus so they had moved many of our belongings without telling us. Very disjointed tour. I would hesitate to book again. If not for the beautiful landscape and views of Uluru, this would have been a disaster.

Ok (not great) and overpriced - I was the only one to book this tour, so I had a private tour guide! Despite that, the guide Yad was still hard to hear (but still friendly). This tour was just meh. The stories that were told on the tour were the same ones that you could read about in the cultural center. There were a few extra details about the different caves on the walk, but not anything which made the price worthwhile. The BBQ dinner was ok. The steaks were tender and well-done, without any seasoning that I could taste. The rest of the spread was decent as well, but not worth the price. If I were to visit again, I would rent a car to go to Uluru and the cultural center on my own schedule. Any questions could be answered by the cultural center staff or by the staff doing the free experiences at the resort.

The visit was good... - The visit was fine but the dinner, although abundant, did not meet the published images: white tablecloths and candles.

The tour and places... - The tour and places visited were pretty much as expected. Sadly the main cave with drawings was closed due to cultural activities. The guide was not the easiest to listen to.

Overpriced and under delivered - Over priced, over cooked, over promised and under delivered. Staff doing their best, with what little they have been given. Let me start with the first stop, sun set with nibbles and bubbles. Nibbles left under sunlight as we share it with flies and broken tongues. Then to buffet bbq dinner, cheapest cuts of meat, if you could cut the steak you would be lucky to eat it, as it was like leather, vegetables like rubber, salad socking in dressing. Dessert a lamington or a mini pavlova with cream from a can, all of which you can get from a local supermarket. Help yourself to hot drinks but make it with cold water. This is over priced and one of the worst food experiences we have had. And if it was under the stars maybe we would be able too see what we were eating, I guess the reason you get to eat in the dark is because you don’t want you customers to see what you are feeding us. Shame on you for the not giving us the experience we paid for.
