The adventure starts with a convenient hotel pick-up, leading to the awe-inspiring landscapes of Kata Tjuta in Uluru–Kata Tjuta National Park. With the guidance of an expert, participants will explore the area’s extraordinary geology, cultural importance, and ancient history as they approach the impressive 36 domes, referred to as “many heads” in the Pitjantjatjara language, which have formed over hundreds of millions of years.
The journey continues with a 5.4 km walk through the Valley of the Winds, following creek beds and weaving through the core of these towering structures. This offers a truly immersive experience of the beauty and spirit of this ancient land.
After the walk, guests can unwind with canapés and Australian wines while enjoying a stunning outback sunset, before returning to the hotel approximately one hour after sunset.
- Tour is not recommended for guest with low level of fitness. Uluru Kata Tjuta National Parks classifies the Valley of the Winds walk to be Grade 4 – Difficult, a high level of fitness is required.
- Tour returns: 1 hour after sunset
