Guiyang - Your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby around 09:00 AM. You will then be taken to the renowned Huangguoshu Waterfall, approximately a 120-minute drive away.

Huangguoshu Waterfalls - The Huangguoshu Waterfall, resembling a miniature Milky Way, is the largest waterfall in Asia, standing 74 meters (243 feet) high and 81 meters (266 feet) wide. It is a must-see in Guizhou Province. The waterfall national park includes three main areas: Waterfalls Cluster, Water-Curtain Cave, and Rhinoceros Pool (Xi Niu Tan). Begin at the Waterfall-Viewing Pavilion (Guan Pu Ting) for a panoramic view of the waterfall. From the Water-Viewing Pavilion (Wang Shui Ting), witness the grand scene of surging water. The third pavilion, also named Water-Viewing Pavilion (Wang Shui Ting), is located beside the Rhinoceros Pool. The stunning night view of the grand waterfall leaves a lasting impression.

Tun Bu Village - After lunch, visit Tunbao Village in Tianlong. The unique and traditional Tunbao culture includes special traditional clothing designed from head to toe and Di Xi, a drama performed with masks and stage props.

Guiyang - Return to Guiyang city around 6:00 PM.

Guiyang - Your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby around 08:00 AM. You will be taken to the famous Qingyan Ancient Town, about a 60-minute drive away.

Qingyan Ancient Town - Established in 1378 by Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming dynasty (1368–1644), Qingyan Ancient Town covers 3 square kilometers. It retains much of its original layout and many ancient buildings from the Qing (1644–1912) and Ming dynasties. Visitors can explore well-preserved stone-slab lanes, archways, watchtowers, and battlements. Originally built of stone, the town still has fantastic stone walls with gates facing north, south, east, and west. Of the original eight stone tablets outside the gates, three remain today, each intricately sculpted.

Many historical relics survive, including 37 tourist attractions: 9 temples, 8 shrines, 5 pavilions, 3 caves, 2 ancestral halls, 1 palace, and 1 academy. There are also 3 ancient archways, with most buildings exquisitely carved with terrapins, dragons, and other traditional Chinese patterns.

Zhaoxing DongZhai - After lunch, drive to Liping Zhaoxing Dong Village. Located in Liping County, southeast of Guizhou Province, Zhaoxing Dong Village is one of the largest Dong Villages in the Qiandongnan area. Entering Zhaoxing Dong Village feels like stepping back in time. All buildings are wooden-stilt houses, surrounded by verdant mountains with a crystal stream running through, creating a picturesque village with a unique ethnic flavor.

Zhaoxing - Congjiang - Kaili. O/N Kaili.

Zhaoxing DongZhai - At 08:30 AM, your guide will meet you at the Zhaoxing hotel and transfer you to the Congjiang Basha Miao Village, a 60-minute drive.

Xiaohuang Village - Next, travel to Yintan Dong Village, a one-hour drive away. Similar to Xiaohuang Village, Yintan Dong Village, about 20 kilometers from Congjiang, is a representative Dong village in Guizhou, known for its Dong buildings and daily life. Although the houses are relatively recent (50-100 years old), they adhere to Dong architectural rules. The natural environment, houses, drum towers, and pavilions are distinctly different from those in the West. The village’s drum tower stands 21 feet high in the center, making it a focal point. Visitors feel immersed in time amidst well-preserved buildings.

Kaili - Finally, your guide will escort you to your hotel.

Miao Village - Today, visit Miao villages like Lanhua, Jidao, and Langde, located about an hour’s drive from Kaili city center. Langde Village, 30 km from Kaili, is surrounded by green mountains and situated beside a crystal-clear stream. Upon arrival, partake in the local custom of drinking “block-the-way” wine to welcome guests. Twelve tables are set along the path from the highroad to the village gate. Explore traditional Miao-style stilt houses and enjoy sweet Miao folk songs. Afterward, take a leisurely walk on cobblestone or bluestone-paved roads and courtyards.

Xijiang Miao Nationality Village - Although Xijiang Miao Village is quite commercial, it still offers much to see. As the largest Miao village in China and the world, it is known as the “thousand-household village,” with 1,432 households and a population of over 5,000, 99.5% of whom are Miao ethnic group members.

Xijiang Miao Village is a picturesque location set in a natural basin, bordered by green paddy fields and wooden houses on the hillside. It is considered the “Miao Capital” and “Open Air Museum” for experiencing Miao’s primitive culture, including festivals, singing and dancing, art, architecture, language, costumes, silverwork, and food.

Visiting this traditional Miao village allows travelers to enjoy the beautiful scenery, taste authentic Miao cuisine, experience a different way of living, escape the hustle and bustle of city life, and find peace and love within.

Zhenyuan - Mountain Fanjing. O/N Jiangkou.

Mount Fanjing - After Zhenyuan, head to Mount Fanjing (a 2-hour ride) and have lunch before visiting the mountain. Take the South Route to ascend the mountain, starting with a park bus ride from the tourist center to Yu’ao Station, where a cable car will take you to the mountain top area, saving time for exploring the highlights.

What to see at Fanjingshan:
Located in Tongren, Guizhou province (southwest China), Fanjingshan is the highest peak of the Wuling Mountains, standing 2,570m (8,430ft) above sea level. Besides being a sacred Maitreya mountain for Buddhists, Fanjingshan National Nature Reserve is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and was designated a World Heritage Site in 2018.

Mountain Fanjing - Fenghuang. O/N Fenghuang.

Phoenix Ancient Town - Enjoy a full exploration of Fenghuang Ancient Town today. After breakfast, take a boat ride along the Tuojiang River, the town’s mother river. The clean river flows slowly along the city walls, with water plants swaying in the gentle waves. Occasionally, mist rises from the quiet green water, creating a fairyland atmosphere. Next, visit Wanming Pagoda on the river’s north bank. The hexagonal pagoda, approximately 21 meters (69 feet) high, has seven layers, with copper wind bells hanging at each corner of the eaves. The pagoda’s body is adorned with colored paintings and sculptures.

After admiring the elegant pagoda, cruise down to the Rainbow Bridge. From the second floor, enjoy views of green hills, blue water, city walls, red slates, and stilted houses. Watch as several boats glide quietly along the river.

Fenghuang County - After breakfast, drive to Zhangjiajie city center (a 3-hour drive covering 214 km) and visit Mount Tianmen Park in the afternoon.

Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park - Spend 3-4 hours at Tianmen Mountain Park today. Ascend the hill using the cable car or shuttle bus, depending on traffic. Tianmen Mountain, known as the “New Legend Of Zhangjiajie,” is the highest point (1500m) in Zhangjiajie. Walk along the thrilling cliff-path and glass walkway, enjoying a bird’s-eye view of the city and beautiful countryside. The landscape here is distinct yet comparable to the ZJJ National Park, both offering world-class scenery. Tianmen Mountain is a must-visit highlight, boasting four World Guinness Records. Each record is overwhelmingly impressive, providing an unforgettable experience.

Zhangjiajie - At the end of the day, your guide will escort you to your hotel in Zhangjiajie or Wulingyuan.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park - On this full-day tour, your guide will meet you at 9:00 AM in your hotel lobby in Zhangjiajie city center or Wulingyuan hotel. Visit various mountain areas, including Tianzi Mountain, where the world’s longest cable car ride takes you to the peak, and the unique platform-shaped Yuanjiajie Mountain.

With magnificent mountain ranges, deep valleys, mysterious caves, lush vegetation, cascading waterfalls, and mist-shrouded stone pillars, Hunan’s Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is a natural wonderland.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is home to over 500 species of wildlife and vegetation, including rare monkeys, gingko trees, and thousands of colorful birds. The park’s most notable geographic features are its hundreds of towering sandstone pillars. Fans of Hollywood blockbusters will recognize the stunning landscape as the inspiration for Pandora in James Cameron’s movie Avatar.

Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area of Zhangjiajie - The Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area is a natural beauty where mountains, valleys, forests, caves, lakes, and waterfalls exist in harmony. Over 560 attractions can be found here. The uniquely-shaped peaks, peculiar stones, hidden valleys, wonderful waters, and limestone caves form the ‘Five Wonders’ of Wulingyuan, making them truly worth seeing.

Covering 690 square kilometers (266 square miles), Wulingyuan Scenic Area consists of four parts: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Suoxi Valley Nature Reserve, Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve, and the newly added Yangjiajie Scenic Area.

Today, the tour will visit the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve area.

Tianzi Mountain - Purchase the main park entrance tickets and take a shuttle bus (20 minutes) to the Tianzi Mountain cable station, then walk up 200 steps to reach the station.

Tianzi Mountain Clouds - After a 20-minute cable car ride, reach the top of Tianzi Mountain and take another shuttle bus (5 minutes) to the Tianzi Mountain central area, offering stunning views of peaks rising one after another. Known as ‘the Monarch of the Peak Forest,’ the top of the mountain provides a full view of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Beautiful scenes greet visitors in different seasons, with four wonders: the Sea of Clouds, the Radiance of the Moonlight, Rays of Sunshine, and Snow in winter.

BaiLong Elevator - After visiting Yuanjiajie (Avatar Mountain), take a shuttle (15 minutes) to the Bailong Elevator. The Bailong Elevator is magnificent, with a total height of 335 meters (1,099 feet), of which 326 meters (1,069 feet) is the running height. 154 meters (505 feet) of the total height is in the mountain wells, and the remaining 172 meters (564 feet) consists of steel derrick and other components. The elevator includes three parallel sightseeing elevators, each accommodating 50 passengers at a speed of 3 m/s (accelerated to 5 m/s since 2013). If all three elevators run simultaneously, they can transport 4,000 passengers per hour.

Golden Whip Brook - Next, hike for about an hour along the Golden Whip Stream, then take a shuttle out of the park and return to the hotel. Golden Whip Stream (Jinbian Stream) is renowned for its pristine water, verdant mountains, steep cliffs, and serene valley. As a “paradise” for plants, its pathways are adorned with an abundance of flowers, trees, and grasses. It is also a kingdom of animals. Golden Whip Stream is named after Golden Whip Crag, its landmark spot, and runs from Laomo Bay to Shui Rao Si Men (water-surrounded gates).

Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge - After lunch, transfer to the Glass Bridge. Your local expert guide will lead you on an adventure trip in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, famous among explorers and nature lovers for its typical Zhangjiajie landform, breathtaking cliffs, lush forests, ancient caves, colorful ponds, and a river running through the canyon. Walk on the world’s longest and highest Glass Bridge in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Hanging over a valley, the glass bridge offers a superb panorama of the entire grand canyon. Enjoy a scenic walk with waterfalls and wonderful views on each side. Standing on it feels like floating in the air.
