Jiangbei Airport - Upon your arrival by flight or train, your local guide and driver will be there to greet you with a welcome sign displaying your name and will transfer you to your hotel in Chongqing.

Jiefangbei Square - After a brief rest, your guide will accompany you to Jiefangbei Square, which is centered around the People’s Liberation Monument and is often called the ‘Times Square of Chongqing’.

Ciqikou (Porcelain Port) - Following that, you will explore the historic Ciqikou Village. Both sides of the street are lined with antique houses and shops offering various artworks such as embroidery, Chinese calligraphy, paintings, and local snacks.

Chongqing - Finally, your guide will escort you back to your hotel.

Chongqing - Dazu. Overnight in Chongqing.

Chongqing - In the morning, your guide will meet you at 9 am and take you to Dazu County via a comfortable private transfer, which takes approximately 2 hours.

The Dazu Rock Carvings - This is the birthplace of the remarkable Dazu Rock Carvings, created from the late Tang Dynasty (618~907) to the early Song Dynasty (960~1127). With a Buddhist theme, the carvings are located in Beishan, Baodingshan, Nanshan, Shimenshan, and Shizhuanshan.

You will spend the day visiting the Baodingshan Carvings, situated about 527 meters above sea level. It mainly comprises the Dafowan Rock Carvings Area and Xiaofowan Rock Carvings Area. Approximately 10,000 Buddha statues are carved on the 500-meter cliff in the U-shaped Dafowan. It is considered a long narrative mural with extensive commentary and no repeated content. If interested, you can visit the nearby shopping street where imitation statues and other handicrafts are available.

Chongqing - After lunch, you will be driven back to Chongqing, where you can enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Chongqing Zoo (Chongqing Dongwuyuan) - First, you will visit the Chongqing Zoo, where you can observe the adorable giant pandas as they play, sleep, and eat freely. Stilwell Museum/Former Residence of General Stilwell (Shidiwei Jiangjun Jiuju) - The next stop is the General Joseph W. Stilwell Museum, built on the site of this friendly American General’s former residence. During World War II, he made significant contributions to the Chinese people’s antifascist efforts. In the museum, you can view the General’s bedroom, office, meeting rooms, scripts, and other personal items.
