Amazing tour - Roger was an amazing guide and went out of his way to help us trace a relative who was buried at Hooge Crater.
Roger had an endless knowledge of the areas and was an excellent host. Would thoroughly recommend doing the tour.

Flanders Fields Tour 2025 - Roger took us on the Flanders Fields full day tour and it was absolutely fantastic. We covered so much and Roger explained everything along the way. Nothing was too much trouble and questions were encouraged. He is so knowledgable and respectful of the area as he lives there himself. I would highly recommend him as a guide as there is nothing he doesn't know about the WW1 battlefields of Ypres.

Family vacation - Roger was an excellent guide and such a wealth of knowledge. He taught us anew information about the wars and since we are Canadians he highlighted our contributions. We didn’t realize he has written two books about the war and we got him to sign one for us.
Highly recommend him.

Excellent tour - I doubt that anybody has more knowledge of the battlefields than Roger. His passion for the subject oozes out at every point of the tour and there were no questions that he couldn't answer. The tour was extremely interesting and we were fully engaged throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending his tours. Thank you Roger.

Roger is a walking history book - Roger is amazing! He knows so much about the WWI history around Ypres. He even picked me up from my hotel. It was amazing to see places like Sanctuary Wood and the german cemetry. Roger explains everything and you can ask him questions as much as you want to! I wish the tour would‘ve been longer, cause I loved it to listen to Rogers explanations! I got so many inspiration during the tour! Thank you Roger! Will definitely book you again!

Emotional vist - If you have a relative lost here In the war and want a better understanding of the environment, conditions, history, this tour with Roger is the one that I recommend? I give it 10 out of 5 star rating. Roger is down to earth and brings the history to life. Confronting, emotional, overwhelming. Roger goes above and beyond a standard tour guide of walk and talk, he has a passion for the subject.

Trip with Roger was highlight of our stay in Ieper. - We shared a remarkable half day with Roger. He took us to special places and had lots of stories at all of them. Highly recommended!
