This unique experience includes visits to some of the Yorktown Battlefields, such as Surrender Field, the federal museum operated by the National Park Service featuring General Washington’s original tents from the American Revolutionary War, the Victory Monument, and the rumored cave where Cornwallis retreated. This is the only tour offering a private guide at each location, distinct from group bus or shuttle tours.
The tour provides a comprehensive learning experience about the siege of Yorktown, which spanned several weeks, and delves into the events of October 19, 1781, when arms were surrendered at Surrender Field. The afternoon segment at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown includes a cannon firing demonstration at 3:00 pm, weather permitting, from March 1st to November 30th. The tour lasts approximately 4 to 4.5 hours, with an additional hour for driving, totaling 5 to 5.5 hours.
