A very memorable experience - This was such a fabulous experience. Our first stop at Byland Abbey was really educational. Greg (the tour guide) was very knowledgeable and I found these ruins very interesting. Helmsley was our next stop where we enjoyed some hot soup. There is a beautiful soap shop there too. We stopped at Ralph's cross in the middle of the Yorkshire moors, interesting as my name is Ralf!. Then finally on to Whitby where Greg recommended the Fish and Chips at Trenches. Thank you Greg for a brilliant day.

A Beautiful Time to Explore Yorkshire - We had a great time on the tour. Greg, our host, was excellent, and the villages we stopped in were gorgeous. Despite being off-season, everything remains lush and green and we were able to enjoy it without a thick press of visitors. Highly recommended!

Take this tour! - Greg was communicating well even before the tour. We had a half day tour that was tailored to our preferences. It was well run and Greg is extremely knowledgeable about all of our stops. Had time for lunch at one stop and had wonderful fish and chips. Highly recommend this tour!

Wonderful day tour from York - Had a really fantastic tour of the York Moors and the coastal town Whitby - the steam train (included in the tour) was a very cool experience, the station had literally the same appearance from over 100 years ago. I travelled solo and it was a small group with only another couple. Gregory our tour guide was absolutely brilliant - enthusiastic, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the history and interesting tidbits about the locations we visited/passed by. Definitely recommend this tour if you want to squeeze in a day trip out of Yorkshire!

The trip is very well designed and our guide Greg is super knowledgeable about history and stories in the route. - Great route design with fabulous views and great guidance! The landscape is beautiful and the abbey is a treasure. The steam train was in the harry potter film. And Whitby we had the best fish and chips. A must do trip If you travel to York.

Outstanding tour and very nice tour guide! - This was an excellent tour! Greg, our guide, was very knowledgeable, as he grew up in the area, and included personal anecdotes with the historical background to add a little humor and personality to his presentation. The tour was very well organized, and all of the stops along the way were definitely worthwhile, especially the stunning ruins of a medieval abbey. Thanks, Greg!

Great day! Highly recommend. - This drip was an excellent way to see multiple sites impossible to get to without a car. The villages of Helmsley and Hutton-le-hole are completely charming. Roaming around Byland Abbey was a fantastic experience. Seeing the Yorkshire Moors fulfilled a nearly lifelong dream for me. The steam train was great fun. Whitby is an interesting seaside town. The church was lovely. Seeing Whitby Abbey from a distance had to suffice due to time constraints sine we also wanted to walk the sea wall. Greg was a knowledgeable and courteous guide. He made everyone feel comfortable and put a cheerful and adventurous vibe on the day.

Great day trip! - A great tour led by Greg, who takes great pride in showing off the region he grew up in. Not goofy “tourist stories” but wonderful insights into the various areas. The steam train journey is a fun mix and would be great for families. Overall a great tour, highly recommend it!
