A great HP themed day out in York - Thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Ellie as our guide. She was super knowledgeable about York and Harry Potter, and she made the whole thing so fun. We got to pick houses from the sorting hat and were split into team for a HP quiz as we explored the city. Admittedly I expected more of the sites to be directly linked to HP as opposed to drawing similarities but I found that I really enjoyed learning about York with HP elements thrown in throughout the tour so nevertheless I really enjoyed it.

Loved the Shambles… - Lots of Harry Potter and York city facts that I wouldn’t have found out otherwise. Harry Potter quiz was enjoyed by the children on the tour.

Absolutely phenomenal - As an avid Harry Potter fan the experience was phenomenal, our tour guide Ellie really knew everything there is to know about Harry Potter and made the experience so much better. Thank you Ellie, i would highly recommend this tour and if you get Ellie it will be so much better.

Such a fun trip !!! - Such a fun experience - Ellie is a natural .
My daughter found it engaging & really enjoyed the quiz questions .
My husband really has no knowledge of Harry Potter , but it’s the correct mix of film trivia & York sites- to keep the whole family engaged .
We saw parts of York we had missed & enjoyed the tour . Honestly the knowledge Ellie has is really impressive .
A really nice memory to add to our fantastic trip to York !

A great Harry Potter tour in York - I loved the part of the quizzes, the division into "houses", Ellie's preparation, our guide, about books and movies! The fact that he told us facts and curiosities about Harry Potter, but also about the city of York. Time flew by and I really enjoyed it! A little tip: you should update the location of the meeting point on Google Maps, because it was a bit complicated. And it would have been nice to spend more time in the Shambles, the Diagon Alley street, but I understand that with the Sunday afternoon crowd it's not easy. 5 stars to Ellie for her sympathy, her knowledge of the world of Harry Potter, her skill and professionalism!!! :)

Birthday treat. - We really enjoyed the tour, our guide Libby was very knowledgeable about the history of York, and added in things about Harry Potter that I hadn't heard before.

A definite part of your York trip. - This was a great, fun tour with Libby. She was so knowledgeable about Harry Potter as well as York and the tour is a great way to see the city.
The quizzes along the way and the competitive (fun) nature made it really good for adults and children alike. Our two kids loved the whole experience, including the ghost stories. Would definitely recommend this as part of your York experience.

Not a Harry Potter locations tour - Well I was excited as the name suggested I was made to believe that we would get to see certain Harry Potter locations but it’s misleading. It’s actually a walking tour around certain sites in York with Harry Potter quiz in between. Although the guide was knowledgable, I was put off as the walking tour had no locations of Harry Potter shoots. If I knew this earlier I would not have chosen this. The meeting point was changed and directions were not clear but the tour waited till we arrived (10 mins late)

Definitely do NOT recommend them. - Couldn’t find the meeting place as there was a ton of construction and their directions aren’t clear. Messaged them at the time of the beginning of the tour telling them I couldn’t find them. They never responded. Called Viator who put me through to them. Asked for a refund and they said no, it was my fault I couldn’t find them.
