• Shambles - We’ll wander up York’s most famous street, renowned as the most enchanting street globally! As we begin our quest for magical creatures, we’ll pass by shops offering peculiar potions and wizarding goods.

*If it’s too crowded, we’ll explore the nearby Colliergate instead

• 64 Low Petergate - Mad Alice Lane…it would be madness not to visit here as we search for the rare and mystical Phoenix! Will this splendid creature stir things up, and what magical antics will our wizard perform next?
• The York Sweet Shop - Candy is delightful, so we’ll pause near York Sweet Shop to find our next magical creature! Have a sweet tooth? There’s no time for snacking, but can you help summon a chocolate frog? Let’s get hopping!
• York Minster - We’ll stroll in the shadows of York Minster, adorned with gargoyles, grotesques, and all sorts of peculiar creatures! We’ll search for a rat from the city’s plague era. Can a rat truly perform magic? And what ‘tails’ will be spun next? Discover on this enchanting tour!
• St William’s College - Next, we’ll encounter a magical mouse! Learn about carpenter Robert ‘Mousey’ Thompson and marvel as your wizard guide transforms a simple handkerchief into a white mouse and brings it to life.
• Bedern Hall - Our Wizard Walk continues through the backstreets of Bedern as we pursue our list of magical creatures, seeking an elusive owl. Expect plenty of surprises along the way; it’s always a HOOT on The Wizard Walk of York!
