Do this tour! - We had an amazing time on the Mad Alice tour of York! It was funny, engaging, and packed with fascinating facts about the city’s history. Mad Alice was an excellent guide who kept everyone entertained from start to finish. If you only do one thing in York, make it this tour — highly recommended! Take this York ghost tour! - The Mad Alice tour was fantastic! Well worth your time and a great and entertaining way to learn about the history of York. The ghost stories were fun and woven into the long and colorful history of the city. "Mad Alice" is a an engaging guide and her voice projects well, which we have not always found to be the case with other tours. So glad we did this tour!

Great fun - We had a great time on the bloody tour of York. Lady Peckett told us all the gory history of York city. The tour was good fun, highly engaging and you definitely come away with an appreciation of york’s history. The group size was just right; enough to create an atmosphere but you could hear every word and see all the sights. The tour guide was incredibly personable and engaged well with the crowd. I would highly recommend it.

Entertaining and engaging tour - Excellent tour, with the wonderfully engaging Mad Alice, who seemed to memorise every tournament members name and made it a very personable experience. Great historic overview and storytelling and a nice, leisurely stroll around parts of the city. Definitely worth booking!

Great family tour - This was terrific, Alice is so fun and knowledgeable- our 2 boys (10&12) loved it, she somehow knows everyone's names and makes sure that she talks to everyone, whilst still keeping the tour going -such a skill She knows so much and her stories were terrific, gory and memorable!

The best York tour. - I took my tween and young adult kids on Mad Alice’s tour around York and was very pleased we chose her. Alice is obviously employing some sort of witchcraft as she remembered everyone’s names and where they’re from which keeps people engaged as well as entertained. Her retelling of local grisly tales was fantastic and her attention to detail great. We’ve been on a few York ghost walks over the years and this one was the best we’ve experienced.
