Beautiful winter horse drawn carriage ride in Selby ❄️✨ - We had the most wonderful experience on the horse-drawn carriage ride in Selby. Gordon was absolutely lovely, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly so passionate about what he does. Caroline was also absolutely amazing. The horses, Otto, TJ and Bertie were beautiful, calm, and impeccably cared for, which made the whole experience feel extra special and relaxed. It was such a peaceful and charming way to see the area, and you can really tell how much love and respect Gordon has for his horses. A truly memorable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Selby.

Amazing experience 5* - We booked a ride with Little Skipwith Carriage rides and had a wonderful experience. Gordon was very polite and also took some lovely pictures for us. From the horses to the scenery to the tasty cream tea, every part of this experience was beautiful. Would definitely recommend this very reasonably priced experience. Will definitely do again when we visit the area. Thank you Gordon.

A brilliant way to spend a Sunday morning. - We had another brilliant carriage ride on Sunday in a beautiful part of North Yorkshire. It's obvious that the owner, Gordon, is passionate about all the horses in his care and their welfare is paramount. This was our 6th carriage ride and we would definitely recommend it.

Don’t book - Don’t ever book this activity through Activity superstore or hope this carriage company gives good service Booked three months ago snd paid £99 .skipwith contacted me late at night (before due to go 1 1/2 hour journey the next day )to say they won’t do the ride and afternoon tea as not been paid by the activity company. Why they waited till the night before after having three months to contact me or the activity company is beyond me. So that is a day off work two of us had taken snd the family let down with no chance to sort and currently £99 down. Both companies are at fault with appalling text replies from this one

Paid for a service We did not receive - Booked what should have been a really enjoyable experience with this company but it has turned out to be a nightmare. The original booking was cancelled because two of the party fell ill with COVID. The second trip was cancelled last minute by the company and given the time of year it was not worth booking until spring. 12 months after booking and several attempts to book another date we have had messages ignored and dates refused, my friend decided she had had enough and didn’t want to go after all the hassle. I wrote to ask for a refund which was flatly refused. This is the response from the business: I see you cant get your own way so you dont like it and threatening with negative reviews . If you cancelled because you was unwell then thats not my problem we dont issue refunds doesn't work like that. Look forward anyway to the review and please look out for the response 😆

Booking not honoured. - Booked an afternoon tea experience.Booking wasn't honoured. Twice. The first time, after setting off, we got a text to say they'd had an overnight power cut. So rebooked a few days later...in writing. Arrived at exactly the correct time, no one there. I texted the proprietor, only to to be told.."I have you down for tomorrow" Be aware, if you book this place, double check arrangements on the day before you travel. A short apology was given, but no understanding of how distressing this all was. It was a wasted journey (100 mile round trip) chosen specifically for a nice day out, but became the opposite. When I was proactive, and got in touch with Wonderdays, they were very sympathetic, and quickly reinstated the voucher amount. This place is only really used as a tea room for at the end of Carriage rides. It is not a village tea room as such.

Poor service and strange reason for cancellation - The trip was cancelled two days earlier on the grounds that the weather should be too bad the outlook for Sunday was 10° and slightly cloudy So be the problem then be

Beware last minute cancellations. - Cancelled our carriage ride at the last minute, kids were very disappointed. I would suggest if you do book with them to have a back up activity planned. When I expressed my disappointment about it, the owner was rude and didn’t offer an alternative date which made me suspect the cancellation was more to do with our party size, he went back and forth with nasty texts to the point of harassment. I may have accepted his excuse of a horse needing reshoeing if he had offered an alternative date or time, which he didn’t. My advice is avoid…your choice.
