Beautiful winter horse drawn carriage ride in Selby ❄️✨ - We had the most wonderful experience on the horse-drawn carriage ride in Selby. Gordon was absolutely lovely, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly so passionate about what he does. Caroline was also absolutely amazing. The horses, Otto, TJ and Bertie were beautiful, calm, and impeccably cared for, which made the whole experience feel extra special and relaxed. It was such a peaceful and charming way to see the area, and you can really tell how much love and respect Gordon has for his horses. A truly memorable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Selby.

Amazing experience 5* - We booked a ride with Little Skipwith Carriage rides and had a wonderful experience. Gordon was very polite and also took some lovely pictures for us. From the horses to the scenery to the tasty cream tea, every part of this experience was beautiful. Would definitely recommend this very reasonably priced experience. Will definitely do again when we visit the area. Thank you Gordon.

A brilliant way to spend a Sunday morning. - We had another brilliant carriage ride on Sunday in a beautiful part of North Yorkshire. It's obvious that the owner, Gordon, is passionate about all the horses in his care and their welfare is paramount. This was our 6th carriage ride and we would definitely recommend it.

Lovely carriage ride - Had a lovely afternoon carriage ride through beautiful woodland. Took my mum for a treat . She loved it . It was well worth the wait . As Gorden had to cancel our first date we had booked . Due to the heat wave we had . Gorden has the well being of the horses first . Which we didn’t mind at all. We would recommend to all ages . We will definitely book again . Thanks Gorden

Brilliant birthday experience! - Took my horse mad sister for a full day experience to celebrate her birthday - what a day!! Started off with a welcome cuppa and explanation of what was going to happen from the wonderful Gordon. Went to meet the horses and then spent the morning getting two lots of ponies in and helping to groom them. There we met the equally lovely Caroline. They both let us do as much as we wanted / could do to get them ready. We then put the tack on two of the ponies and got them hitched to a carriage for another group’s ride. We then helped clear the paddock of ragwort before going to their tea room for the best afternoon tea I’ve ever had - wonderfully fresh sandwiches and delicious cakes - we couldn’t eat all of it. Returned to paddock and finished off getting our horse ready for our carriage ride. My sister couldn’t manage to get up on to the driver’s seat to have a go, so I went up front and she went in the back. When it said you could have a go, I was expecting to have the reins for just a little while, but ended up having them practically the whole way round with Caroline and then Gordon helping me, and encouraging Ben to keep going (he is a loveable but lazy lump!) After a beautiful hours drive, we returned to help turn out the horses and ponies for the evening. Had another cuppa (oh, and we had one halfway around the drive too!) before heading home. We are both shattered, but exhilarated after spending such a memorable day with these beautiful animals and their friendliest of guardians! 100% recommend for the best way to treat an animal lover to an unforgettable day!

Lovely relaxing afternoon. - This was an exceptional experience, a lovely ride through fantastic countryside, and we followed it with the cream tea delivered in the little tea room on the farm. A great afternoon out, easy to arrange, great communication throughout. Highly recommended and we would arrange and go again.

Beware last minute cancellations. - Cancelled our carriage ride at the last minute, kids were very disappointed. I would suggest if you do book with them to have a back up activity planned. When I expressed my disappointment about it, the owner was rude and didn’t offer an alternative date which made me suspect the cancellation was more to do with our party size, he went back and forth with nasty texts to the point of harassment. I may have accepted his excuse of a horse needing reshoeing if he had offered an alternative date or time, which he didn’t. My advice is avoid…your choice.
