As I embarked on the Busan Highlights Tour, I was immediately drawn to the allure of Haedong Yonggungsa Temple. Descending the 108 steps to the temple, I was greeted by the sight of the East Sea stretching endlessly before me. The temple’s name, “East Sea Dragon Palace Temple,” evokes a sense of mysticism, rooted in the legend of a dragon that ascended from the sea to bless the land. As the sun rose, casting its golden light over the temple, I felt a profound connection to the ancient traditions that have shaped this region. Our journey continued to Naeri-gil, a place that embodies the essence of traditional Korean architecture. Here, time seemed to stand still as I wandered through the serene setting of Hanok houses.
