Ha Noi – Suoi Giang Village (Nghia Lo Town of Yen Bai Province) - 210km
Suoi Giang - Yen Bai - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Hanoi at 8 AM. Once away from the bustling city, enjoy the scenic countryside views while traveling northwest to Yen Bai province. Arrive at Suoi Giang village early in the afternoon and check into a homestay in a tranquil village near Nghia Lo town. Enjoy lunch and rest in a traditional stilt house. In the afternoon, embark on a cycling tour to explore the daily life of the local ethnic community and admire the stunning landscapes of villages, rice fields, and mountains. Dinner and overnight stay at the homestay.
Suoi Giang – Tu Le – Mu Cang Chai (65km)
Tu Le Valley - After breakfast, bid farewell to the host family and proceed to Tu Le town. Tu Le is a charming town nestled in a picturesque valley at the base of Khau Pha Pass. Upon arrival, prepare for a gentle trek through the rice valley and visit local villages. Capture photographs and interact with the local people. Return to town for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, begin the drive up the renowned Khau Pha Pass, one of the four greatest passes in Northern Vietnam. The view over the valley from the pass is breathtaking, especially during the rice harvest season. Stop for photo opportunities en route to Mu Cang Chai. Arrive in Mu Cang Chai town late in the afternoon and check into a local homestay. After storing luggage, enjoy a leisurely walk to visit a village of the H’mong ethnic minority at the base of a nearby mountain. Dinner and overnight stay at the homestay.
Mu Cang Chai Trek Full Day
Mu Cang Chai - In the morning, transfer to the starting point for a full-day trek. The trek begins from Che Cu Nha to La Pan Tan along a 16 km trail. This trek offers a wonderful opportunity to see the main attractions and admire the stunning rice terraces that Mu Cang Chai is famous for. Visitors can also explore several villages of the Hmong hill tribes scattered throughout the area. Pick-up is scheduled for around 4:00 PM. Transfer back to Mu Cang Chai for an overnight stay.
Mu Cang Chai – Sapa (140km)
O Quy Ho Heaven Gate - After breakfast, check out of the homestay and head to Sapa, a journey of approximately 4 hours. Along the way, stop at Heaven Gate and Silver Waterfall before reaching Sapa town. Upon arrival in Sapa, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before checking into the hotel. After lunch, check into the hotel, freshen up, and explore Sapa town at leisure (or take a cable car to Fansipan Mountain – the roof of Indochina at 3143m).
Trekking Through Amazing Rice Paddies and Traditional Villages
Lao Chai - 9:00 AM: The guide will meet guests at their accommodation. After a brief introduction, guests will be taken to the first village of Y Linh Ho by a local expert. Admire the most beautiful terraced rice fields and capture stunning photographs (just below the town). Arrive in Y Linh Ho, a village of Black Hmong people. Cross a hanging bridge to the other side of the Hoa Lien Son mountain. Observe the daily life of the Black Hmong ethnic people and learn about their culture and traditions. This tribe has unique arranged marriages and exceptional traditional house-building skills. The guide will explain the use of indigo and hemp in making traditional clothes.
Ta Van Village - Noon: Lunch will be served at a local Black Hmong family restaurant. 1:00 PM: After lunch, continue the walk to Lao Chai. Here, enjoy the incredible view of the rice fields on the hills. A 30-minute walk leads to Lao Chai village, home to the Black Hmong people, and the beginning of Muong Hoa valley. 2:00 PM: Reach Ta Van, a village of Giay ethnic minorities. Learn about the cultures of the Black Hmong and Giay people. Notice the distinct design of the houses compared to other villages. 4:00 PM: Conclude the day’s trek and cultural exploration, and the driver will pick guests up to return to the hotel in Sapa. Enjoy a massage and relaxation after the day’s trek. 7:00 PM: Dinner, followed by free time and shopping.
Sapa – Ha Noi (300km)
Sapa - 7:30 AM: Breakfast at the hotel. 9:30 AM: The driver will pick guests up from the hotel to return to Ha Noi (or stop at Noi Bai airport). Lunch will be provided at a stop along the way. 3:00 PM: Check into a hotel in Ha Noi. Enjoy rest and free time.
