The name “Tsakhkadzor” translates from Armenian to “Gorge of Flowers.” In the northwestern area of Tsakhkadzor lies the 11th-century monastic complex of Kecharis, constructed by the Pahlavuni Princes. During the 12th and 13th centuries, Kecharis served as a significant religious hub in Armenia. The monastery features four churches, a courtyard, two chapels, and numerous khachkars (cross-stones).
The tour includes free time to enjoy a ride on the cable car, offering a wonderful opportunity to admire the stunning Armenian landscape and Teghenis Mountain.
