The lake is also renowned for its peninsula and the medieval church complex constructed in 874.
- Monastery Sevanavank - A breathtaking view unfolds in the northwestern part of Lake Sevan, where the peninsula rises above the lake’s clear surface. The Sevanavank Monastery was established on the peninsula in 874 by the command of Princess Mariam, daughter of King Ashot Bagratuni. Lovely Lake day - We had a lovely day at Lake Sewan with a boat cruise and sceenic views over the lake from the monastery. Our guide Tamara made sure we felt welcome every step of the way and explained a lot about the history of the lake. Karen, our driver, also did a great job to keep us safe on the road. We can heartily recommend the tour with them.

A Perfect Day at Lake Sevan and the Monasteries - Tamara was a wonderful guide — friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to answer questions. She brought the history of the monasteries to life and made the whole day both interesting and enjoyable.
Karen was an excellent driver who got us everywhere safely and comfortably, even on the winding mountain roads.
Lake Sevan was absolutely stunning, and the monasteries were some of the most beautiful places we’ve visited in Armenia. The views, the history, and the atmosphere made this a truly memorable experience.
A big thank you to Tamara and Karen for a fantastic day!

We were very pleased with the tour! - A very interesting and informative excursion to Lake Sevan! Comfortable bus, professional guide Eduard and excellent driver Khachatur. On board the new minibus, Wi-Fi, bottled water and delicious gat pastries are provided. We were part of an international team, the guide led the tour in English and Russian. We learned a lot of interesting facts about Armenia! The program included church visits on a mountain near Lake Sevan, a boat trip on the lake. Then visited a great restaurant overlooking the lake and took a walk around the area. I recommend this travel agency and guide! Everything is professional, intellectual and organized at the highest level!

Check Sevan lake in a short tour - It is a good tour for getting a good idea of Sevan lake in short time. Edward was a very helpful guide and Khachik an excellent driver

Great trip to Lake Sevan - We went to Lake Sevan with Karen as a driver and Sam as a guide and had a great experience.
Sam was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly and helpful, we always knew what was going on and when we had to be where and felt well taken care of. Karen made an extra stop for us for a quarry to collect some sparkly stones to take home.
