The lake is also renowned for its peninsula and the medieval church complex constructed in 874.
- Monastery Sevanavank - A breathtaking view unfolds in the northwestern part of Lake Sevan, where the peninsula rises above the lake’s clear surface. The Sevanavank Monastery was established on the peninsula in 874 by the command of Princess Mariam, daughter of King Ashot Bagratuni. Lake Sevan tour - On 14th September I went for a tour with drive Levan and guide Gayane to Lake Sevan.
I really enjoyed this time, especially boat trip.
I would highly recommend this tour!!!

Another great tour with Hyur Services - This is the third tour we've done with Hyur Services, and we were lucky to get both Sam and Spartag again! We had been with them on different tours separately, this was the first time together.
I was immediately confident that this was going to be a great experience, and it was. It unfortunately rained hard at the end of our tour in Sevan, but you wouldn't know the drive was difficult with Spartag behind the wheel.
The tour we had at the monastery in Sevan was fantastic. Sam is a terrific story teller, explaining the story of the khathkars, especially the one inside the monastery with the rare depiction of Jesus on the cross. He surprised us again with just how much he knows about the history and culture of so many regions of Armenia.
Thank you again Hyur Services for another unforgettable tour with your amazing team.

Easy, good tour - Good tour, very easy, but interesting. The pleasant and charismatic guide Samvel left a good impression. Unfortunately, the weather happened, so it was not possible to buy, but nevertheless everything liked.

Excursion to Lake Sevan, Sewanawak - Awesome tour! Lake Sevan , the ancient temples impressed with their beauty! Separately I want to note guide Samvel-interestingly tells, immersed in the history of Armenia and Christianity in its territory .
Huge thanks to the professionalism of driver Lavon. If you consider that the track is not easy, serpentine, maximum comfortable driving. The bus is new, clean, air conditioned, drinking water in small bottles. And the nice thing is, everybody got a nice local cookie. Thanks for everything!
