We had a great time on the Yansan Night Market tour...despite the rainy weather, the foods sampled were tasty and authentic, our guide was very knowledgeable, and the vendors quite friendly. The area of the market was smaller than expected, so there wasn't much time between dishes - I think we actually did several loops through the course of the evening. Some of the other markets we saw during our stay in Taipei were more touristy, and this was definitely not the case in Yansan. We left with a better understanding of life in Taipei, the foods of the city, and a greater appreciation of Taiwanese culture as a whole.

Very good food choices to try. Away from the normal tourist areas, so unique. Planet of food. Knowledgeable tour guide and was able to make efficient use of time by altering agenda when needed.
