Cross the street to visit the octagonal Sule Pagoda, centrally located in downtown. Pass by the Sunni Jameh Mosque and The Central Fire Station (1912), previously known as the Rangoon Municipality Central Fire Station. Explore the main streets featuring a wet market, a century-old indoor market, food stalls, and tea houses, where the vibrant local products, street food, and local life are sure to captivate you.
Visit the largest Kali Hindu Temple, the beautifully French-designed Catholic Church, the largest Shia Mosque built in 1918, as well as the only Synagogue and the last remaining Jewish House in downtown. Enjoy a refreshing tea or coffee with a local delicacy at a tea shop during the break. Later, visit the Burmah Oil Company (BOC) and conclude the tour at the former Fytche Square building before returning to the starting point.
