- The Grand Palace - Situated in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand, the Grand Palace served as the residence for Kings Rama I to Rama V of the Rattanakosin Kingdom. Currently, it is used for royal ceremonies and to welcome the king’s guests, state visitors, and other foreign dignitaries. It is also the place where the remains of kings and high-ranking royal family members are placed before cremation. The Grand Palace is divided into two main areas: the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the royal residence.
- Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) - Wat Phra Kaew, also known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha or locally as Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram, is one of Thailand’s most significant Buddhist temples. Located in Bangkok’s historical center within the Grand Palace grounds, the temple houses Phra Kaew Morakot (the Emerald Buddha), a highly revered Buddha image intricately carved from a single jade block.
- Wat Phra Chetuphon - Wat Pho, or the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is located just behind the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and is a must-visit for first-time visitors to Bangkok. As one of the city’s largest temple complexes, it is renowned for its enormous reclining Buddha, which is 46 meters long and covered in gold leaf. This is a World Heritage Site.
- Chao Phraya River - Embark on the Heritage Boat of Ayutthaya for a cruise along the Chao Phraya River.
- Royal Barges National Museum - Enjoy a sightseeing glimpse of the Royal Barge Museum (no stop).
- Wat Rakhang Kositaram Woramahawihan - Wat Rakhang, known as the Temple of the Bells, was constructed by Rama I towards the end of the 18th century. During its construction, a bell was discovered here, which King Rama II later moved to Wat Phra Kaew, located across the river from Wat Rakhang, and gifted five new bells to the temple. The theme of bells is prominent throughout this temple.
- Temple Of Dawn (Wat Arun) - Wat Arun, locally referred to as Wat Chaeng, is a prominent temple on the west (Thonburi) bank of the Chao Phraya River. It is one of Bangkok’s most beautiful temples, not only due to its riverside location but also because its design is distinct from other temples in the Thai capital. Wat Arun, nicknamed the ‘Temple of Dawn,’ features colorfully decorated spires and stands majestically over the water.

Please note: Dress standards are conservative throughout Asia, especially outside major cities. To respect this and for your own comfort, we strongly recommend modest clothing, especially when visiting temples. This means clothing that covers your shoulders and knees. Loose, lightweight, long clothing is both respectful and cool in the predominantly hot Asian climate.
