Incredible Fijian cultural experience! Must do! - This was the most authentic and memorable experience of our entire trip to Fiji. From the moment we walked along a beautiful, greenery-lined path to a beachfront hut, it felt special. We were welcomed with a traditional kava ceremony led by the village chief and local Kuata villagers. Sitting in the hut with the sound of ocean waves during the ceremony was truly surreal and unforgettable. Afterwards, we enjoyed traditional singing and dancing, then were taken to a cave where stories were shared. We drank fresh coconuts and enjoyed a delicious traditional Fijian meal, including kokoda, cooked in a wood-fired stone oven. This experience was easily the highlight of our 10-day trip. If you’re looking to step outside the resort bubble and connect with authentic Fijian culture, I can’t recommend the Kuata Cultural Tour highly enough. We left with a deep appreciation for Fiji’s indigenous communities and their traditions.

You will not have a kava ceremony like this. - Napoleon and Bella did a wonderful job showing us an authentic kava ceremony. This experience is a lot deeper than other kava ceremonies because afterwards they lead you up to a cave where their ancestors first originated. The feed you some freshly made local dishes as well. I really thought this was an unique time on the island.
