• Ta’er Monastery - At 9:00 am, the guide will meet the group in the hotel lobby. From there, they will be driven to Kumbum Monastery, located 16 miles (25 kilometers) from Xining. Kumbum is among the six largest Tibetan Monasteries. Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Yellow Hat Sect, was born and raised here before moving to Lhasa. Visitors will explore the Stupas, Teaching Hall, and more. The remarkable Butter sculpture exhibition at the monastery is sure to leave a lasting impression. Following the visit, the group will be taken to a local restaurant for lunch.
• Xining Dongguan Mosque - The group will then be transferred to Dongguan Mosque in Xining, the largest mosque in the city, featuring traditional Chinese architecture that is distinct from Arabic styles. The guide will lead a visit to a nearby local market where farmers sell a variety of vegetables, fruits, meat, and more.
• Museum of China Tibetan Medicine Culture - The group will visit this fantastic museum to learn about Tibetan medicine culture, which plays a significant role on the plateau.
