A quite local Chinese day! Best memory ever! - I’m traveling solo and this experience was just what I needed. I felt total safe and welcomed, and got to meet some very interesting locals. We went to bars I’d never have found myself, and the vibe was relaxed. If you want to see the real Beijing after dark, not the touristy version, book this experience.

An Unforgettable Journey - I visited a few bars with really unique themes, mixing traditional Chinese ideas with modern cocktails. I don’t usually care much about fortune telling, but it was actually really interesting to see how it’s turned into a bar experience here. The best part was meeting locals and having real conversations. It showed me a side of Beijing nightlife I never would have found on my own. I felt comfortable the whole time and would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling solo.

Happy with our experience, would recommend - This experience was one of the highlights of my time in Beijing. Yue was warm, funny, and very easy to talk to. Her English is excellent, which made everything relaxed and natural. We went to several places that I would never have discovered by myself, and each one had a different atmosphere. It was not rushed and felt very flexible depending on what I was interested in. If you’re traveling alone and want to see local nightlife without feeling awkward or unsafe, this is a great option.

Enjoyed a memorable night, strongly recommend - I met Hanna in the evening and we started with dinner together before going to a few bars. The food was great and we talked a lot about life in China, culture, and travel. What I liked most was that it didn’t feel scripted. The night flowed very naturally and we could stay longer in places we liked. I learned a lot about Beijing youth culture and daily life just by chatting. It was a really enjoyable and memorable night, and I would happily do it again if I come back.

Had great experience and back for more - Couple of weeks ago I reached out to Bridge to Locals directly to try something different during my time in Beijing, and it turned out to the best choice I made during my trip. We went for a mix of places, from tucked-away bars with creative cocktails to spots that blended local culture with a modern twist - one place even had traditional Chinese fortune telling! I didn’t expect to enjoy it so much; it added something really special to the trip. I had so much fun that when I got back to Beijing this time I booked another trip with them on Tripadvisor. That probably says it all!

Nightlife with locals "a great time" - I had a great nightlife experience in Beijing with Yue. The whole night was fun and was great because it showed a side of local culture that I definitely wouldn't have found on my own. We went to a few places that mixed traditional Chinese elements, like acupuncture-inspired fortune telling with modern cocktail bars. I don't believe in the fortune telling but was fun and really interesting from a cultural point of view. The people made the night even better. I met some very interesting locals with great conversations and it felt comfortable the entire time! Such a great experience and so glad I did it.

My highlight of Beijing trip - Honestly, this night was way beyond what I expected. If I hadn’t gone out with a local, I would never have found these bars. Walking through the streets with Yue made me feel like I was actually living in Beijing for a night, real, warm, fun. We started at this super cool movie-themed bar, then wandered around a park just chatting, and later ended up in a tarot bar talking with the owner. Every spot was totally different and had such a great vibe. Nothing felt staged or commercial — it was all super authentic. And I have to say, Yue is amazing. She’s friendly, funny, and knows all the hidden places. She honestly made my whole night. This ended up being the absolute highlight of my Beijing trip, no question. My only regret is not booking this earlier — I would’ve loved to hang out again before leaving Beijing today.

Yue was so kind, friendly... - Yue was so kind, friendly and has a fun personality. We met in the evening, went for a hotpot where we ate delicious spicy food and talked alot. I had a great time with her. She speaks fluent English and made my trip so much fun. Importantly she was flexible with time. I would highly recommended her.

Fantastic Beijing Experience - Great option for travelers to Beijing who want a behind the scenes experience with a knowledgeable local who speaks perfect English. Yue is a charismatic female entrepreneur and a great conversationalist. She will take you off the beaten path, but is always receptive to your particular interests. She has incisive insights into Chinese youth culture and the educational system. I never write reviews, but I was so impressed with this experience that I felt the need to sing her praises.
