From the very beginning, she remembered each of our family members' preferences—what we like and don’t like to eat—and took such thoughtful care of everyone, especially my mum and my son. My little boy adored her so much that he kept asking about her even after we changed to a new tour guide in another city. Kathy always shared local snacks with us, picking up little treats along the way just to make us smile. She’s incredibly patient, kind, and truly made me fall in love with Xi’an. A Guide Who Truly Care About Tourist Experience - During the entire trip, Kathy was very patient and thoughtful. She planned a flexible schedule that worked well for everyone— elderly in the group could keep up without feeling rushed and the younger ones had plenty of time to enjoy themselves. She even waited in a long queue for more than 30 minutes at a busy bakery to buy us some famous local bread. When our flight was delayed and our original plans didn’t work out, Kathy handled it really well. She stayed calm, acted professionally, and quickly came up with a new plan for us. Thanks to her, what could have been a stressful situation turned out just fine.

Private tour with Kathy - Kathy was meticulous and warm. It felt like we were well taken care of by a family friend. She was also very knowledgable and was able to speak fluently in English during the tour such that my husband, who is a non-chinese, was also able to appreciate the rich history of Xi'An. She is also great at planning our trip and made recommendations based on the situatuon. For instance, our trip coincided with the Dragon Boat Festival. Given the large crowd, she advised us to go to some places on another day to avoid the crowd and even gave us suggestions on what to do on our free and easy days. She even recommended affordable massage places we could go to so that we can relax. Also, she warned us of tourist traps and steered us away from them so that we would not spend more than necessary in the different shops. She remembered our food preferances and was always ready to recommend good food to allow us to fully experience Xi'An through our tastebuds. She is also very sweet as she remembered that my husband wanted to drink bubble tea with pearls but boba pearls were not a common topping. She continued to search for different bubble tea brands until she finally found it and got it for him. Overall, we were blessed to have been able to find Kathy through Tripadvisor. Our stay would not have been as pleasant if not for her careful and dedicated planning.

Fantastic guide: helpful, flexible, knowledgeable - Kathy is a fantastic guide and very helpful both prior to the trip and during our stay in China. She was able to book train tickets for us from Beijing to xian and back on the 350km/hour bullet train and arrange a very good hotel in the center of xian. The tour itself was great and Kathy is very knowledgeable and flexible to suit the needs of our family. The car for traveling around xian was spacious and comfortable. Overall Kathy was a perfect guide and we can thoroughly recommend.

An excellent late evening food tour - We arrived late to Xian, but Kathy was still willing to meet us for a food tour, and what a food tour it was. She made sure we tried all the customary local foods, and took us to only the best and freshest restaurants in the Muslim district! It was raining quite heavily, but Kathy’s energy and excitement was contagious and irrepressible. What could have been a miserable experience, was in fact a very enjoyable gastronomic evening! Kathy knows her town, and loves to see everybody enjoy it as well. Can’t say enough about Kathy and her tours! We highly recommend them!
