This isn’t your typical walking tour. Instead, it’s a small group tour conducted via private tuktuk, complete with an endless supply of beer and soda. Your English-speaking guide will take you through the lesser-known areas of Xi’an, where you’ll dine at quaint, family-owned establishments and sample the finest local cuisine that you can’t discover on your own. After a 3-hour adventure, the tour culminates at a local brewery where you can enjoy the town’s only craft beer.

Xi Hua Men Fire Station, located 1 block north of the Bell Tower, just west of the intersection of Bei Da Jie Street and Xi Hua Men Street.
The fire station is a very easy landmark to recognize, just look for big red doors. Please refer to your voucher for meeting location details.

Great variety of food and introduction to Xi'an - Overall was a great experience and great introduction to Xi'an and great way to try a variety of food. Some of the food was great and some was fairly average where we found better ourselves later - but it's still worth the experience. The guide Buren was super enthusiastic and friendly and helpful and was available to contact anytime. However I do feel there is too much pressure from the company to push for good reviews to be made and pressure to review at the time of tour which results in opinions that aren't necessarily getting proper feedback as the guides' bonuses are dependent on good reviews. I think people will naturally put good reviews if they enjoyed it - there needs to be less focus of pressure on this aspect. The brewery option should also include wine or another alocholic option for those who don't like beer. We liked the tour overall which is why we did more in Xi'an and then Chengdu.

A Young, enthousiastic women with lots of knowledge about China, Xi'an and the local food. Really interesting.

Highlight of our stay! - Our food tour with our awesome guide Betty was the absolute highlight of our stay in Xi'An! We learned so much, had a lot of fun, and got to sample local food at the most amazing places. Honestly, I'd do it a second time if I happen to be in the city again :)

Most spectacular experience - What an amazing way to experience Chinese cuisine as well as explore parts of Xian by Tuk Tuk! We loved the foods sampled, and seeing the locals in the surroundings was insightful. The grilled meat and the dumplings were the best. Learning the history behind the city environs and inhabitants helped to enrich the experience.

Lost Plates Xi’an Evening Food Tour - A friendly, helpful and informative guide led us through alleyways to discover family run businesses serving delicious food. We tried a variety of local foods and left the tour full! The tour was a great way to try local food in restaurants that on my own I would have been unlikely to try. Also, as a solo traveller it was a great way to spend the evening meeting and talking to people in a fun environment.

China, beyond just noodles - These guys have nailed customer care. I cannot say enough anyhow awesome they were. They helped me with navigating China for my solo travels including any problems I ran into and of course helped me with food recommendations. The tour itself was so much fun, very relaxed, interesting, great variety of food. 10/10 would recommend anyone try this tour, it was so helpful when trying to figure out what to eat for my time in China. Awesome work Lost Plate! You guys rock!!
