A really good evening activity! - We had a most enjoyable experience with our tour guide Jialin, who enlightened us not only about cuisine in Xian, but also on wider cultural and historical aspects of the city. The food was great and varied and the main advantage of these tours is that you get brought to eateries which you certainly would not have discovered yourself. The tuktuks added additional value to the tour, as it saves you from walking around from place to place and your stomach from getting upset! The pace of the tour was quite relaxed, and we didn't feel rushed at all. Officially the tour lasts around 3-3.5 hrs, but we had so much fun we ended chatting at the last stop (a brewery/bar) for some time after. The tour is expensive given how cheap eating out is in Xian, but the knowledge gained and relaxation from not having to do any thinking makes the price well worth it. As for what we actually ate... it would rather spoil it to write it down in a review; however, it was traditional cuisine that was all very tasty!

Tasty, diverse food tour with a great guide! - The Muslim Quarter (where we were for 3/5 of our stops) can be kind of overwhelming with endless options and no easy way to tell what’s best, so having Jialin was a lifesaver. He picked excellent spots with a good mix of different foods that were all super delicious, and I also thought the tour was very well-paced. Really appreciated his friendly demeanor and great communication throughout the night too; felt like we got to know him really well by the end of the night! Overall an awesome experience.

Amazing food Tour! - Betty was an amazing tour guide, my family and I had such a lovely evening. We tried 4 different restaurants and a bar. The tour started just before 5.30 and went until past 9! There was so much good food and a great mix of options. We tried noodles, kebabs, dumplings and gourd chicken. They were also able to provide some less spicy options for some of the family. The tuk tuk ride was fun through the Muslim quarter and I learnt so much about Xian. I definitely recommend this tour!

Food tour with Buren. - I had the food tour with Buren. From the beginning Buren was the most thoughtful guide I have ever had. You can feel he is very passionate about food and this makes the tour even more exciting. We got some historical info on the dishes and the food / restaurants were excellent. Highly recommended to have the tour with Buren.

Fun fast food tour by night - What a brilliant evening! We were taken by Buren to 4 different small restaurants for local dishes cooked as we arrived. Everything was fresh and tasty. We finished in a small craft brewery. Buren was a great guide- knowledgeable enthusiast and very attentive to our needs all evening. I thorough recommend you do this.

Well worth the money. Do not skip - Ive been on over a dozen food tours all over the world this was one of my favorite I've done. Food was unique and very good. All places were clean and safe and the guide Diehel was so nice and fun to be with. The portions were also massive, most tours give you a sample at each spot. This was a full meal at each spot. I felt bad leaving do much food behind lol

Great experience - We had a great time on this evening good tour - visiting the Muslim quarter was fascinating and got to experience lots of interesting food in very different restaurants and food outlets. Our guide Amber was great and we had a great day at the terracotta warriors with her too. Our tuk tuk driver was fab too. Has such a great time that we signed up for a breakfast tour in Beijing.

My original tour was... - My original tour was cancelled due to low take-up, but they seamlessly moved me to the following day. I was given plenty of notice and a good range of options, which I really appreciated! The food was brilliant, and Diehl was a fantastic guide. I do have two small comments. I’m not sure if this was because we were a small group, but we started with a full portion of biang biang noodles, which really filled us up and made it harder to sample the other dishes. Secondly, while the tuk-tuk was a fun novelty, I could easily have walked some of the shorter distances. Other than that, it was a fantastic evening!
