• The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses - Known as “the Eighth Wonder of the World,” this museum showcases exceptional sculpture artistry. Located about 30km east of Xi’an’s city center, it was discovered by four local farmers in 1974 while drilling a well. Now, it stands as Xi’an’s most significant attraction. The museum features Pit 1, Pit 2, Pit 3, and the chariots and horses exhibition hall, with Pit 1 being the largest. UNESCO lists the museum and mausoleum as world cultural heritage sites.
• Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang) - This is the most well-preserved and largest city wall in China, originally built for ancient military defense. Optional bike riding on the City Wall is available (CNY45 per person, at your own cost).
• Muslim Quarter - Located in the heart of Xi’an City, Muslim Street is the top food street, offering a chance to savor delicious local snacks.
• Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta) - Originally constructed in the early Tang Dynasty (618-907) to house Buddhist sutras and statues brought from ancient India by Master Xuanzang, this area is now a popular leisure spot for locals.
• Xi’an Mosque - The Great Mosque serves as a primary Islamic religious site in Xi’an. Unlike Arabic mosques, this mosque features traditional Chinese design and artistic elements.
