- Qinling Wildlife in Danger Animals Protection and Research Center - Situated south of Xi’an, the Qinling Mountains provide an ideal habitat for pandas, snub-nosed golden monkeys, crested ibis, and takins. This half-day excursion offers a chance to observe these rare creatures at the “Four Rare Species Conservation Center.” The center’s most renowned resident is Qizai (meaning Number 7 in Chinese), the only brown panda in existence. A drive of 1 hour and 20 minutes to the south allows visitors to spend two hours or more observing Qizai, along with black and white pandas, red pandas, black bears, vultures, and the other three rare species. Our driver will assist with orientation at the conservation center, and visitors can easily navigate using signs with introductions in both Chinese and English.
