- The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses - Anticipate encountering 7,000 life-sized terracotta warriors arranged in authentic battle formation, buried for over 2,200 years (recommended visit duration: 2.5 hours with extensive flat walking). The museum tour includes three original pits: Pit 1 as the main force, Pit 2 as the Flexible Troupe, and Pit 3 as the Command Center. Additionally, there is an exhibition hall hosting various exhibitions periodically. This museum is a remarkable resource for studying the history of China’s first dynasty, the Qin Dynasty.
- Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang) - The Xi’an city wall is the only complete city wall remaining in China and serves as a landmark of Xi’an. Spanning 13.74 kilometers, the wall forms a rectangular shape with a perfect defense system. By climbing the wall, visitors can view the moat, arrow towers, watch towers, and the water drainage system. If your hotel is nearby and you prefer to explore the wall independently, this site can be substituted with the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.
- Muslim Quarter - Many Muslims arrived in Xi’an via the Silk Road during the Tang Dynasty (600-900 AD). They integrated by studying, working, intermarrying with locals, and have remained here ever since. In this area, visitors will find a variety of foreign spices, numerous Muslim restaurants, and some souvenir shops.
- Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta) - If you choose to explore the city wall independently, you can opt to visit the pagoda instead. The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda is situated in the Da Ci’en Temple (Great Mercy Temple) and boasts a history of over 1,300 years. It was once the site where the renowned Tang Dynasty monk Xuanzang (Tripitaka) translated Buddhist scriptures, marking the beginning of Buddhism’s spread in China.
