Great experience for noodle lovers - We had a great time during this experience. Michael led us through the market and introduced us into Xi’an’s food culture. Making the noodles and cooking while talking about the food was a great experience, too. If you have some spare time in Xi’an and want to learn how to make noodles at home for when you are back from your trip, we would absolutely recommend this experience.

A great cooking experience. Our 11 year old loved it! - This was a brilliant cooking experience! Our 11 year old said it was one of the highlights of his trip. Our tour guide and translator Fiona was fantastic. We were collected from our meeting point on time and she and took us through the market where we tried some local foods and were shown local delicacies and ingredients we will be cooking with. Our chef was a wonderful, kind and a patient teacher. We made our noodles and chopped the ingredients and then cooked and ate what we had made. The trip took 4 hours in total and is in a great central location. I cannot recommend this experience enough!

My wife and I were lucky... - My wife and I were lucky to have Fiona and Lily as our instructors! We would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for an authentic market tour and cooking class with an experienced chef! Lily has so much knowledge in Chinese spices and cuisine and Fiona was super easy to understand. Thank you both for a memorable cooking class :)

Attention all cooks - I love to cook and I love to cook Asian, so I could not pass up the opportunity to take this class. We met Fiona (who was wonderful and speaks very good English) at the meeting place as described, did a brief tour of the market and got to camp sample different spices and chilis of varying heat and flavors. We walked a very short distance to the clean and modern cooking studio where we met the chef instructor and her assistant. We ate three local specialty cold appetizers (which we never would have had the opportunity to taste otherwise. Also some very good local produce. We made our own dough, chopped our veggies with a sharp Chinese knife, cooked in the wok at the stove. Then we pulled our own noodles. And of course we ate them. Memorable experience and highly recommended We did the private version so it was just two of us with the chef and her assistant.

A highlight of our trip to China - Incredible experience with Michael & Co today. They were all so welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. We learned so much- not just about making noodles, but Chinese cuisine as a whole. This will be a highlight of our trip to China for sure!

5/5 stars - authentic, relaxed, and fun - This was an incredible experience. Michael, our host, was super kind and very very friendly. He picked us up near the train station and we went toward the market, learning all about all sorts of spices, fruits, vegetables, and meats. We then went to a courtyard where we got a proper Biang Biang noodles cooking lesson two of Michael’s coworkers also came with us, and everyone was super friendly and fun. We learned how to make noodles - which ended up being amazing by the way - and also after eating spent a few hours talking to them about what life in China was like. Michael even went so far is to give us recommendations for the rest of our stay and checked in on us afterwards, Highly highly recommend you do this if you’re looking to learn how to make what is (in my opinion) the tastiest dish in China!

Fiona and Lili have been amazing, as great as the noodles we made! - I wish there were words to truly describe the experience and how kind everyone has been to us. We had so much fun, and Fiona has been the sweetest person we’ve ever met. The noodles we cooked tasted amazing, and both Fiona and the chef were among the best people we’ve ever met. What a wonderful experience. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. We’ll always treasure these memories. The food was absolutely amazing, and making the noodles was so much fun! We can’t wait to bring some of these recipes back home.

Fun cultural cooking experience - This was a great cultural experience. It was interesting going through the market. The mother is the chief and daughter guide/translator. They were both very nice. Daughter explained a lot about the culture in general. In addition to making noodles, she prepared century eggs for us along with a few other treats. The kitchen is very clean and in a cute area. We made the noodles with two different sauces. Highly enjoyable!!

The best Biang Biang noodles - I ate a lot of biang biang noodles during this trip, but the biang biang noodles I ate here were the best. The family welcomed us warmly, and we were treated to seasonal fruits and tea, and we were able to cook in a very cozy atmosphere. Home cooking is the best way to cook. If you really want to eat delicious Byang Byang noodles, please join this class 🤗
