Airport Pick-up and Shaanxi Archaeology Museum Tour
Xi’an - Upon arriving at Xi’an Airport, travelers will be greeted by their tour guide outside the baggage claim area. If arriving by train, the guide will meet them at the Railway Station. After a brief welcome, guests will be taken to the Shaanxi Archaeology Museum, China’s first archaeology museum. Featuring over 5000 relics, the museum focuses on archaeological history and preservation technologies.
The guide will then accompany guests to their hotel for check-in and relaxation.
Terracotta Warriors, DIY Mini Clay Warriors, Small Goose Pagoda
The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses - The day’s first stop is the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, constructed for the First Emperor of the Qin Dynasty over 2200 years ago. Known globally as “the eighth wonder of the world,” it is highly popular. Visitors will also have the chance to meet Mr. Yang Zhifa, the discoverer of the first terracotta warrior, who lives nearby.
Guests will then enjoy a unique opportunity to create their own miniature clay warrior using a mold, with assistance from an artisan. The process takes about 40 minutes.
Small Goose Pagoda - In the afternoon, the tour continues at the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. Established during the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907) to house sutras brought from India by the monk Yi Jing, the pagoda resembles the Big Wild Goose Pagoda but is smaller, hence its name. Visitors can admire exquisite stone carvings of Buddha, lions, horses, and more.
Afterward, the guide will escort guests back to their hotel.
Mt. Huashan Tour
Mount Huashan - In the morning, guests will be picked up from their hotel lobby. After a two-hour drive, they will reach Mt. Huashan. To conserve energy for enjoying the breathtaking views, a cable car will take them to the steep West Peak first, allowing for a mostly downhill hike while appreciating the stunning landscapes. The trek continues from West Peak to North Peak, where another cable car will take them down. The guide and driver will then return guests to their Xi’an hotel by private car.
Xi’an City Wall, Great Mosque, Muslim Bazaar, Departure
Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang) - The adventure begins with the City Wall, offering a panoramic view of the old city. Guests can rent a bike to ride along the wall, though the rental fee is not included.
Great Mosque of Xi’an - The Great Mosque is one of China’s best-preserved Islamic mosques. Built in 742 during the Tang Dynasty (618-907), it represents the fusion of diverse ethnic cultures. Visitors will observe both Chinese classical architecture and traditional Muslim elements.
Following this, guests will explore the Muslim Quarter, where a variety of snacks and halal foods are available. Numerous handicraft souvenirs are also for sale.
Xi’an Xianyang International Airport - Finally, guests will be transferred to the airport, where their tour guide will bid them farewell. Wishing everyone a delightful journey!
