The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses - You will then be directly transferred to the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses museum, which is about a 1 to 1.5-hour drive. Our guide will vividly narrate the history as you explore the museum, which showcases an exceptional level of sculpture, marking it as the most significant archaeological discovery of the 20th century. The magnificent display will leave a lasting impression.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta) - After savoring a traditional Chinese lunch, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, originally constructed to house sutras and Buddha figurines brought back from India by Xuanzang. Today, the Pagoda is situated in a spacious garden where visitors can unwind and enjoy leisure time. Nearby, a musical fountain performs on schedule in the square. After a day of sightseeing, you will be returned to your hotel in Xi’an.
Xi’an
Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang) - At 9 am, your guide will collect you from your hotel to visit the Xi’an Ancient City Wall, the largest and most well-preserved city wall in China, originally built for military defense. You may also choose to ride a bike on the Wall (CNY45 per person, at your own expense).
Drum Tower Square - Next, explore the Bell and Drum Tower Square, located at the city’s center. The Bell and Drum Tower is a symbol of Xi’an, and you’ll have free time to capture memorable photos.
Muslim Quarter - Proceed north of the Drum Tower to the renowned Muslim Quarter, Xi’an’s top food street, where you can discover authentic local cuisine and intriguing handicrafts.
Xi’an Mosque - After lunch, visit the Great Mosque, a key site for Muslim religious activities in Xi’an. Many find this Mosque resembles a traditional Chinese garden in design and layout, featuring Islamic mosque styles alongside Chinese pavilion characteristics with painted beams and carved ridgepoles.
Xi’an Museum - Visit the Xi’an Museum, which includes the museum itself, the Jianfu Temple, and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. The museum houses 130,000 cultural relics from various historical periods in Xi’an, including items from significant Chinese dynasties such as the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang.
After exploring the museum, admire the Small Wild Goose Pagoda on site, learning about its significance as a legacy of Buddhist architectural art from the Tang Dynasty.
Xi’an - At the end of the tour, you will be transported back to Xi’an airport (or Xian North or Main train station) for your onward journey.
