Coastal Volcano National Geological Park of Zhangzhou - Daimei Ancient Village is renowned for its ancient houses, some over five centuries old. Surrounded by water, it is known as “the top village in Minnan.” The village boasts 276 residential houses, including 49 ancient structures from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
You will enjoy a stop at a local restaurant to savor rustic and delicious dishes for lunch.
After lunch and a rest, your private driver will take you to your next destination - Zhangzhou Seaside Volcano National Geopark, the only coastal volcanic island in China. Begin by visiting the Volcano Square, built to commemorate volcanic eruptions from various periods. Climb to the highest point of the Xiangshan Peninsula to enjoy a panoramic view of the volcanic island. On the north side of Xiangshan is a crescent-shaped beach known as Lovers Bay Beach, believed to inspire love and romance. Looking south, you will see two peaks resembling beautiful breasts, named “Queen’s Breasts” in honor of an ancient queen who grew up in the area. There is also a Geological Museum where you can learn about volcanoes.
