Huli Mountain Fort - Accompany the friendly guide to Huli Mountain Fort. This fort once overlooked the waterway between Xiamen and mainland China and was used during the Qing dynasty to prevent invasions. Now a heritage site, visitors can view the cannons and explore the fort’s layout. While much of China’s history is ancient, this fortress tells the story of pre- and post-colonial times, the opium wars, and its role in shaping modern China. Take time to read the plaques for a deeper understanding, then enjoy a leisurely lunch.

Gulangyu Island - After a short break, the private driver will take you to Xiamen International Cruise Center to catch a ferry to the must-see Gulangyu Island. Upon arrival, enjoy a peaceful walk, admire the majestic old buildings, and visit Shuzhuang Garden, a beautiful seaside garden. Inside, the famous Piano Museum houses an extensive collection of unique pianos that will impress even non-musicians. Enjoy a walk on the coastal bridge with stunning views of the sea and surrounding landscape. Xiamen -Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster -Xiamen

Zhangzhou Tianluokeng Village - The private driver will pick you up at the hotel lobby at the chosen departure time. Relax in an air-conditioned, non-smoking private vehicle for a 2.5-hour drive. Upon arrival, visit the viewing platform for a bird’s-eye view of the Tianluokeng Tulou Clusters. Enjoy free time to admire the famous “Four Dishes and One Soup” and capture stunning photos. Then, savor an authentic Hakka lunch in one of the Hakka houses. After lunch, visit the “Leaning Building”-Yuchang Building, the oldest and largest known round building. Observe the teetering columns that seem ready to collapse, yet have withstood seven centuries of erosion and numerous earthquakes. After visiting the Yuchang Building, stroll through Taxia Village. Gain insight into this typical Chinese Hakka village, home to many famous overseas Chinese, and visit Zhang’s clan ancestral hall, a key cultural relic protected at the national level.
