• Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone - The expert guide will meet participants at the Pavilion next to the Upper Falls Parking Area at 8 AM. The hike is a 4 to 6-mile loop along the Canyon Rim, through the expansive pine forest, and out to Ribbon Lake. The journey continues past a geyser basin, Clear Lake, and the Wapiti Meadows, offering stunning views of the Hayden Valley. If there’s one trail to hike in Yellowstone, this is it!
• Upper Falls - The hike begins with a view of Yellowstone’s Upper Falls, marking the start of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River.
• Artist Point - A stop at Artist Point provides breathtaking views of the Lower Falls along the Yellowstone River. This is a must-see in Yellowstone. The 308-foot falls are surrounded by the vibrant canyon. Although the area can be a bit crowded, it’s definitely worth the visit! After enjoying the falls, the group will leave the crowds behind and continue on the dirt trail.
• Ribbon Lake Trail - Moving past the crowds at Artist Point, the hike continues on the Ribbon Lake trail. The path leads through endless pines to stunning backcountry lakes, with opportunities to spot wildlife such as weasels, hares, and deer.
• Hayden Valley - The trail offers expansive views of the Hayden Valley, where mountains seem to touch the sky. This is an excellent spot to observe bison and occasionally bears from a safe distance.
