Amazing Day Out – Highly Recommend - Hubby and I had such an amazing time! We managed to catch six barramundi between us, which made it even more exciting. It was so much fun—perfect for couples or families looking for a great day out. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Barra fishing - do yourself a favour and try it. - From arriving we were greeted by the very friendly staff. We all enjoyed our experience and the shared knowledge on how to catch a Barra which was a successful result with a couple of us reeling in few big ones. We ended up staying for lunch which was also very yummy. Would have been good to bring home dinner but we weren’t prepared for that in our holiday accommodation so eating Barra for lunch was the next best option.

Great experience - My 3 teenage boys and I had a blast. Staff are all super friendly and helpful. Also a great way for younger kids to learn the basics. Definitely plan a meal around your visit, the fresh barra is the best I have tasted! Highly recommended.

100% recommend - The crew are absolutely amazing and a wealth of knowledge. I learnt a lot on this experience. They made me and my son feel like family and not a paying customer. 100% recommended you do this whilst your there. Very family friendly, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Must do , great customer experience - Hook-A-Barra is an absolute must-do! 😍 The staff are super friendly and helpful, making the whole experience unforgettable. We started with lunch, and oh man, the fresh fish and spring rolls with prawns were to die for 🍔. After lunch, we got a behind-the-scenes look at the barracuda tanks and a safety briefing, which was awesome. The real magic happened when we started fishing. Our kids, who had never fished before, were catching barracuda left and right thanks to the staff's amazing guidance 🎣. My six-year-old and eight year old caught their very first fish, and the smiles on their faces were priceless 😊.

Great fun. Terrific crew. Good food. - Had a great time here. Terrific crew who look after you very well, and educate you too! No guarantees that the barra will bite but it's great fun when they do (especially the big ones 😁😁). The tucker at their Cafe is top notch too. Highly recommended.

Fabulous stop not to be missed on the way to or from the Daintree. - A must stop experience the team are amazing and help you catch something to show your skills. Fabulous for kids as well. Our 13 year old was desperate to catch a fish and the team made this happen. They have different ponds that help. Love that it is also catch and release. We stayed for delicious lunch. Must stop on the way to and from the Daintree. An extra special catch someone caught a rare Albino Barra.
