Wonderful tour - This tour was recommended to us and we loved it! We did the Express wine tasting with Māori history and wished we had done the full day tour! Joe is very knowledgeable and engaging, explaining to us the Māori history with a focus on the South Island. We were a group of 6 people, perfect size for this experience. We did wine tasting at Aitken’s Folly, a smaller winery with wonderful wines, and Rippon, a bigger and more stablished winery in the area. We had a wonderful experience and couldn’t recommend it enough! Thank you for the wonderful time Joe

Those interested in local wines and Maori history and culture should definitely participate! - We chose this wine culture because we wanted to learn more about the Maori and their culture. And our choice was perfect. Joe received us like friends. In addition to English (as a translation), we were welcomed on Maori with a small, warm ceremony. During the journey there was much information about the history and customs of the Maori. That was important to us - it fully met expectations and touched us. At the two wineries visited, Joe and we were greeted friendly. We had plenty of time to taste a wide variety of wines, buy our favourites and learn a lot about wine growing here in the region. We are moving this fantastic time with full score and thank Joe once again.

He took us to two beautiful wineries, but what truly set the experience apart was Joe’s deep knowledge of the area and his sharing of Māori culture and history, which added so much meaning to the day. Joe is warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the experience feel personal rather than just another wine tour. This was one of the highlights of our trip. We had searched throughout the South Island for an experience that genuinely incorporated Māori culture and history and struggled to find one, so we were absolutely thrilled to discover this tour. Amazing Tour! - We had an absolutely fantastic time on the Express Wine Tour & Māori Culture in Wanaka! From start to finish it was a highlight of our trip. Our guide, Joe, was amazing, so friendly, warm and knowledgeable. He welcomed us with a traditional Māori greeting and wove fascinating insights about Māori culture, history and connection to the land throughout the tour, which made the experience feel that much richer and more meaningful The wine tastings were excellent, with Joe introducing us to some fantastic boutique wineries we probably wouldn’t have discovered on our own. His passion, stories and local recommendations truly elevated the day. We left with new appreciation for both the culture and the incredible wines of the region.
