Most incredible tour we took all month! - We took this tour today (March 8, 2026) and thoroughly enjoyed it. My 70 year old mother had no issue embarking, disembarking and even entering the water. This boat is easily accessible for someone with a cane and reasonable independent mobility. We were lucky enough to see several spinner dolphins on the trip to the rays and sharks. I dangled my feet off the side while others swam with the sharks and rays. We then proceeded to the turtle hangout where we spotted at least 6-7 giant green turtles swimming and surfacing. The water is so incredibly clear that decent photography is possible without having to get in the water. We finished the tour with about an hour at a beach with swimming/snorkeling which was enjoyed by all. With drinks and fresh fruit for the ride home, this was the most memorable excursion we’ve taken on our month long cruise. We will never hesitate to recommend Akivai Lagoon Adventures. They were an absolute pleasure to deal with, and communication was excellent even with last minute cruise itinerary changes leading to needing to be picked up at the ferry instead of the cruise tender pier.

Awesome morning of adventures - Trip highlight! Took the family, youngest 2, and all had a great time. The boat ride alone seeing the spectacular blue water and scenery is worthwhile. Then to swim with rays and sharks, see the turtles and a snorkel stop between two small islands provided a great combination of activities. Our guides, Nono and Tema, were fun, kind and interactive. They hosted us to some delicious fresh fruits and a coconut cracking demo. Fairly priced and full of fun!

More than just snorkeling with Akivai! - This was a wonderful tour on a beautiful, comfortable boat, kind of like a living room on the water. The crew/guides, Nono and Tema, were friendly and informative, getting us settled and letting us know right away what the plans were for the day. We glided away from the dock through beautiful waters around the northwest side of Moorea. We stopped a while to snorkel with sharks and rays, then continued to Opunohu Bay, where Tema explained some of the history and topography of the island. Next we traveled to a motu where we had plenty of time to explore the nearby coral gardens. Upon returning to the boat we found a platter of delicious freshly cut tropical fruit waiting for us. A short distance away we visited an area where green sea turtles hang out. We stayed for a while watching them diving and surfacing for air. Between the scenery, the water and the excellent guides we had an absolutely amazing day! Thank you!

Just fabulous! - Been on a cruise ship for a month and this is the highlight of my trip so far! Comfortable boat, great crew and spectacular lagoons to snorkel in! Thank you guys

We were picked up... - We were picked up promptly. When we had questions, they were answered promptly. We had a great time snorkeling in Moorea!

I want to do it again. - The boat was perfect, you guys were so nice and polite, you ate some delicious fruit and taught me how to crack coconuts and it was great to swim with the fish!!!

Unbelievable trip on pontoon!! - The boat-pontoon made this trip a 5. It was beautiful!! And new!! There were only 10 people on board along with 2 crew. They were I formative and fun. We saw turtles, rays, black tip sharks and lots of fish. The coconut demo was awesome as was the fruit tray snack. This was a perfect day ….. with one exception. The snorkel gear was soooo crappy. It was cheap and worn out. Bring your own snorkel!! Our guides were NoNo and Tema. Both were great!

We had a fantastic few... - We had a fantastic few hours on this boat. Nono and Tete were great tour guides. We swam with mana rays and sharks ( everyone but me who jumped back on the boat when one came close 🙃) Others enjoyed though. Saw sea turtles and snorkeled in the coral. We had fresh fruit and coconut at the end. Really nice boat. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Day Trip - This was an exceptional experience. The boat was super comfortable and the crew were amazing. If I could rate this 6/5 I would. Highly recommend booking with this company. Their staff is amazing and really make the day great.
