Great for orientation - The Windsor/Eton area is not large, but key attractions are spread out. The bus got us oriented and allowed us views of the Castle and the Long Walk and Eaton High Street that we would otherwise have missed. We bought our 24-hr. ticket at 3:00 P.M., did one full circuit, and then took the 40 minute cruise on the Thames in the early evening. That gave us the whole next day to enjoy other sights along the bus line.

Loved it - Great tour, well informed and helpful staff. Was a good length of time and plenty to see. The commentary was good and played on time to where we were, yes it mentions the queen but I’d hardly say it’s outdated, took us an hour to go round, would recommend for nice quick look round.

Perfect - We had a wonderful friendly driver. The recording of the sites we went by was very good, clear and understandable offering all sorts of languages. Recommend this for a day tour of Windsor, Eton etc.

A useful touring tool… - Overall understanding of the “lay of the land”, the view of the Long Walk, being made aware of the King’s Farm Shop, finding the tour sufficiently covered Elton and being introduced to Datchet (which was nothing we had ever been aware of).

Good not Average - I want to give a Good, rather than average, just not very good. It was lovely and sunny, so the bus was busy. The driver was extremely friendly. The headphones works perfectly, but the audio was outdated, but it wasn’t an issue for us. This was my granddaughter’s favourite part of the day, which considering we made chocolate later in the day, it must of been good. We also added the boot trip, which was average. The chairs are plastic canteen chairs clipped together. The commentary on the boat was informative.

Poor value - Rather disappointing. Most of the tour was in the countryside around Windsor and not in the town so not very interesting. The audio guide did not work in any of the four seats I tried.

Definitely not worth the money! - As four adults visiting Windsor last week, we decided to gain an overview of the town and surrounding area by taking a trip on an open top tour bus. Big mistake! The commentary was dire and spasmodic, via headphones, telling us the very bare minimum and often out of sync. with what we were looking at. The commentary also referred to the Queen throughout, so obviously nobody had bothered to update it in the year since Her Majesty had died and King Charles ascended to the throne… very sloppy! The cost for this trip was £18.00 per head (£72.00 in total) for a circuit of not even an hour on the bus. Don’t waste your money by doing this trip… it simply is not worth it! You will learn nothing as you are rushed around the route.

Absolutely abysmal pre-recorded commentary - still not changed to mention that Charles is now our monarch !! - Very poor value for money as both the pre-recorded commentary and the hop-on-hop-off facility were decidedly sub standard. Ages between each bus and only the very basic commentary provided ; even though Queen Elizabeth passed away in September 2022 they haven’t even bothered to update their information - completely unacceptable !! If I ever contemplate another bus tour around Windsor then it’ll be the Toot bus for me

Waste of money - Went to try get tickets from the bus but his card reader was not working so had to get cash to pay. No receipt given but asked how we could hop on and off the bus with no proof he said take a spare pair of ear phones as proof. Half of the ear phone ports didn’t work. Commentary on the ear phones was few and far between with it all referencing the Queen. I would have thought that after a year of loosing The Queen the company would have been able to change the commentary to reference the King. Didn’t hop on and off did one trip round and that was enough. Driver was very friendly though. Would not recommend at all.

Don’t bother - Great driver friendly and drove well. However the tour was a shocking con. Too expensive, headphones hardly worked and when we managed to hear some of the commentary, we realised that the information was outdated. According to the tour, the Queen still lives on at Windsor and there was no mention of Charles… 11 months later. Makes you question the accuracy of the rest of the info.
