Journey to the Heart of Namibia

As a wildlife photographer with a deep love for Africa, I am always on the lookout for experiences that allow me to connect with the land and its people. The Himba Tour was an opportunity I couldn’t resist. The journey began in Windhoek, where the vibrant city life quickly gave way to the vast, open landscapes of Namibia. Our first stop was the craft market of Okahandja, a treasure trove of handmade goods that spoke to the rich cultural tapestry of the region.

The drive to the Kamanjab area was a visual feast, with the arid beauty of the Namibian landscape unfolding before us. The anticipation built as we approached the Otjikandero Himba Orphan Village, a place where the Himba people have preserved their traditional way of life.
