Monday

Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary - We will drive out to the internationally known N/a’an ku se Wildlife Sanctuary. Located about 50 km to the east of Windhoek. N/a’an ku se is a sanctuary dedicated to the rehabilitation of sick, injured and orphaned animals. The ultimate focus is to reintroduce these sometimes rare and endangered species back into their natural habitat so that they can live life wild and free. Sadly though, in many cases, this is not possible. Some of the animals that come to N/a’an ku se would not, ever again, be able to fend for themselves in their native yet cruel natural environment. Instead, they take ’’early retirement’’ and find themselves a permanent home at N/a’an ku se.

Fantastic Tour Guide and Service - Highly Recommend! - We were lucky to have Gregg lead our group on the 7-Day Namibian Highlights tour. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and created a well-planned experience with clear directions and guidance along the way. He is personable, funny and able to give the perfect insight into the culture and history surrounding all the beauty Namibia has to offer. He was open to discussions and questions, and made sure each individual felt supported throughout the day. Chameleon and our guide took care of every detail. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. I would recommend Chameleon Safaris and Gregg from now until forever. Special thanks to Gregg for managing everything so well and making sure we felt safe and informed at all times. This tour is an experience I’ll never forget.

A great combination of terrains, flora and fauna. - Wonderful vacation. Well organized. Small group of nine people worked very well, and our guide/driver did a great job.

Amazing with a bitter aftertaste - The 7 day safari gave us a good overview of this amazing country. Stunning sights and super diverse landscape. The lodges we were booked in were always stunning. Chameleon Safaris did an excellent job and the organisation was impecable. Since we wanted to see so much in so little time, there were often long days spending in the bus without much leg stretching or toilet breaks. Next time I would defo opt for a more time, so it would be less of a "run through". Unfortunately we also had some issues with our guide regarding punctuality, keeping the itinerary and some human factors. Maybe it was just not his week. But it does leave a bitter aftertaste. Nevertheless, this country is beautiful and a must visit for sure.
