Christmas in the Redwoods, nothing to beat it. - We went on the Christmas Tree trip at 4:30pm and had a wonderful time. There's a carriage that's open to the elements, which gives a good view on all sides. There was a bar with beer & cider, & wine & cocktails; you could get a whole bottle of wine or by the glass. There were some lit attractions along the way, a good thing once it got dark, and they stopped at a live tree that was all lit up. There was a guy and guitar. Lots of kids having fun but fortunately they were not disruptive. Mainly a family event I think.

Fun ride into the redwoods with lots of entertainment. - We did the Christmas Train and it was so fun. Our children are in their 20’s. Snowball fight, snacks, drinks, lights, music and Mr Skunk. Very fun for kids of all ages.

beautiful views - The conductors and concession staff are so nice and informative. The views are incredible.
We loved the open air observation car; you can look straight down into the gorges and valleys. Standing room only, but my teenager likes moving around and was thrilled about dog passengers.
The decoration in the passenger cars were festive but unobtrusive, and it was fun to sing along with Malachi, the singing conductor.

Fun family trip aboard the Skunk Train - My wife and I took my mom, sister, and niece about the Skunk Train for their first time to travel amongt the trees. We took our little dog Kobuk too. It was my wife and I's 3rd time boarding the train from Willits, and our dog's second time. (We had been on the rail bikes before in Fort Bragg.). We all had a great time. My mom and niece really like Malakai's songs. Although it's a bit of a drive for us (3-1/2 hrs from our house in Cupertino), it was worth it to spend some quality time with my family. Everyone at the train station was really accommodating too since I had to add my dog's ticket at the last minute. The fall colors on this trip were an added bonus. For sure we'll make this trip again! Much recommended!

Fall Getaway Weekend to Willits to Ride the Skunk Train - We all had a great time on the Skunk Train Pumpkin Express and so did the dogs. We got the VIP package - lunch was great! Would definitely do another Skunk Train ride again.

Pumpkin Express - The drive into the woods is always pleasant. The kids loved it. I wish we were able to enjoy more time at the pumpkin patch which was only 25 mins. Prices for children are a bit high, it’s the same as a paying adult which is already on the pricey side

Fun for the whole family - Riding the Skunk Train again is what my adult daughter wanted for Christmas. We rode the Holiday Train and it was very fun. I bought VIP tickets that got us commutative cups for hot cocoa and booklets. Priority boarding was included by this just meant cutting in front of others trying to board. We sat in the open air car that had heaters and plastic siding. Live music and Mr. Skunk was on board for photos and a stamp. Will definitely go again when family comes from out of town.

Relaxing trip to the past - The Wolf Tree Turn Skunk train from Willits was a relaxing trip back in time. The historic train and its story were interesting. It was fun to stop at and visit the abandoned town of Crowley next to the Wolf Tree. The experience was made all the more lively by the singing conductor playing the guitar and flute. It was a memorable trip!
