Do a true CW Ghost Tour instead! - We are dedicated Viator tour users. Always a quality and memorable experience using Viator. This one was very disappointing. The operator was a sweet well trained woman, dressed in period clothing. But the substance and format of just walking around Colonial Williamsburg (CW) in the dark, standing in front of buildings & houses, listening to her telling 2-3 unsubstantiated stories, made-up tales & rumors from security guards and moving to the next, just didn’t hit the Viator standard. In fact, 2 years ago we did an official CW night ghost tour where we entered the buildings, the CW tour employee read us history, direct quotes and witnesses’ rich tales with some much density that the hair on our backs stood straight up! Real candles vs. LED. Spooky. Our imaginations took us to the moments. A night to remember bringing out true CW history, oddities, culture and colonial lifestyles, etc. Do that tour instead, for less money per person, while supporting CW and this magnificent historical gem of a town/park.
