Setting Sail to Klein Curacao

The Caribbean has always been my playground, and when I heard about the Klein Curacao Boat Trip, I knew it was a must-do. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and they made everyone feel at ease as we set sail. For those prone to motion sickness, the ride can be a bit rough, but for me, it was exhilarating. The anticipation of reaching the island kept my spirits high.

The island itself is a treasure trove of history and natural beauty. I wandered over to the old lighthouse, a relic from the 1880s, and marveled at the rusty shipwrecks that dotted the shore. It felt like stepping back in time, and I couldn’t help but imagine the stories these structures could tell. With my camera in hand, I captured the essence of this untouched paradise, wishing I had brought my GoPro to capture the underwater wonders as well.

A Feast on the Waves

As the sun reached its zenith, it was time for a BBQ feast on the boat. The aroma of grilled meats and fish filled the air, and the open bar added to the festive atmosphere. There’s something magical about enjoying a meal on the water, surrounded by the endless blue of the ocean. It made me ponder why I don’t own a boat with a grill myself, but then again, the carefree island life doesn’t require such luxuries.

The return journey was smooth, with the waves gently guiding us back to the mainland. Reflecting on the day, I realized that this trip was more than just an excursion; it was a reminder of the simple joys of island life. The beauty of Klein Curacao, the camaraderie of the crew, and the thrill of the open sea made it an unforgettable experience.
