Yukon Wildlife Preserve Tour January 2026 - Very nice activity to do on a cold winter day. I very much enjoyed and my family appreciated being picked up and dropped off at our hotel. My family was pleased of riding on the bus between stops to see the animals. Time management was very appropriate... Overall great experience.

It was amazing to see all these rare animals in the snow. ... - I was impressed to meet all kinds of rare animals in the snow. The guide explained it to me in an easy-to-understand way and I learned a lot. Please be prepared for the cold. There were also small souvenirs. It's cold in the toilet, so let's do it in advance!

Wonderful time - This tour was made well, and we loved it that we were allowed flexibility in choosing the nights we wanted. We appreciated it that there were snacks and hot drinks inside a warm cabin while we waited for the aurora borealis to appear.

Impressive to see animals like Lynx, Bison and Elk for the first time! I was able to look around efficiently in the cold. - The staff were cheerful and kind, and I was able to efficiently look around the animals I wanted to see using the shuttle bus. I was especially lucky to see Lynx father and son. It was also very helpful to be able to pick me up at the hotel and drop me off at the nearby supermarket upon request. It was one of the highlights of my stay in Whitehorse. Thank you so much.

The Japanese guide's story is easy to understand and interesting... - The stories of the Japanese guides were easy to understand and interesting, and we had a good time. It's a protected area, so there were some animals that couldn't be seen or just looked small in the distance, so it was four, but the kids enjoyed it too. The English speaking guide was also very friendly to the children.

Worth the trip. - Interesting to see all the different animals. Relatively short drive. Guide was very knowledgeable. Note you can walk around the reserve on your own and don't have to take a guided tour but the guide provided some interesting information about the animals.

Unfortunately the guides... - Unfortunately the guides were not particularly knowledgable about the animals. Several animals were not seen, however if we had been given information about them as we saw their habitat, we would have benefitted.

Over priced, not interesting - It is overpriced, the tour guides, although very nice are not local or Indigenous. Our tour guide was from Japan. Listening to her explain animals that she can barely pronounce didn't do much for the experience. It would have been better to have Yukoners. I was hoping that we would learn about the how the Indigenous have respect and shared the land with these magnificent creatures. You drive from enclosure to enclosure, walking the beautiful road through the woods, even part of the tour would have been much nicer. I am a Canadian so it's a bit sad that I know more about the moose than the guide. Too much money for what you got.
