Great visit to historic site repurposed to showcase premium gin! - Premium hospitality for a premium brand. Very successful brand marketing venue. Honest and up front. Well worth a visit. Life is good! (I was already a customer and enjoy a crisp fragrant G&T - not sure about filling the glass with ice though) 🍸🍹

Highly recommended! - We had a lovely afternoon on a tour of the Bombay Sapphire Distillery. From a yummy G&T to start whilst watching a film in their super comfy cinema, learning the history of the site, to a fabulous tour with Luke and ending in the bar to sample an unusual cocktail … who knew you could mix gin with so many different things! We’re definitely coming back to do the cocktail masterclass! All the team are really friendly, welcoming and helpful. We would definitely recommend a visit.

Bombay gin distillery tour, great afternoon and a great gift from family - A very informative fun tour. Lots of history and a detailed explanation of the function of the mill, and the production of their gin. Our tour guide, mark, was friendly and very knowledgeable and presented the information in a high spirited enthusiastic manner.

See it to believe it! - My wife and I had watched 3 part video about 10 years aga about the construction of the distillery. We loved it and are a huge fan of the Bombay brand. We always had plans to visit and finally planned it as part of out recent trip to the UK. We stayed in nearby Winchester, a nice little town. We apent 2 weeks in the UK but the trip to Laverstoke was one of the top highlights. We booked the mixology class but i had no idea how fantastic it would be. We learned to make 3 different cocktails and the techniques that we were taught are a game changer. We cant wait to meet with oir friends and show them all that we now know. The staff at the distillery are amazing. Alice was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Bombay and the evolution of gin in general. She was very entertaining throughout the tour. The onsite Gin bar was very excellent and the gift shop was exceptional. Laverstoke is so beautiful and packed with historical features. Even if you dont drink gin o would highly recomend a trip to the see it. We will definately include this in our next UK trip.

Great tour , however…. - Great tour, really interesting with lots to see, guide was very engaging. Lots of local history as well as gin and Bombay Sapphire history However G&T that is included needs to be drunk fairly quickly at the start of the tour. Also other distillery tours offer a discount in the shop or bar (or both). The bar is very expensive

Average tour in a beautiful location - The distillery is set in a lovely rural setting and that, along with the fact the tour guide was kind and knowledgeable carried the tour. There isn't much substance or history in the tour because there isn't really any for the brand. Bombay Sapphire came to the site in the 2010s and only infusing the alcohol with botanicals is done on site. You only get one G&T and no tasting so you don't have to worry about who drives. On a sunny day you could sit and have a great afternoon with cocktails but I've been on much better and more informative tours. It depends how interested you are in the history and distilling process!

Deeply Unpleasant Visit to Bombay Sapphire Distillery - Deeply Unpleasant Experience. I organised a tour for my husband on 4th January 2026. The temperature outside was minus 4 degrees. The tour began in a freezing cold theatre, where we were shown a short film about the history of the buildings and then we had the “cocktail making experience” - a gin and tonic making class - plenty of ice… Then we proceeded outside by to look at the old buildings - India House - closed for maintenance and cleaning. Joy came then due to a visit inside the Glass houses - heated by fan heater. Off we were taken to the Botanicals room . I had to actually step outside ( -4 degrees) in order to warm up a bit in the weak wintry sun ! I asked the guide why it was so terribly cold everywhere to which he replied that the Stills are always turned off for 10 days over Christmas due to cleaning / maintenance .They provide all the heat for the Distillery. This is an annual occurrence . The sales team must be aware of this , yet they continue to sell tickets to the unsuspecting public. This is Disgraceful. I think there must be a Duty of Care to the customers…? Frankly , they are very lucky not to have had any Casualties due to the conditions they provide. A week ago I wrote directly to the Distillery in order that they could possibly explain and apologize for the dreadful situation. I have had no response from them. The young staff were all bundled up in coats inside the cafe and the shop. Surely another Health and Safety issue ?

It’s a fake! - It’s a nice place to sip a gin cocktail. However, it’s not cheap and, most disappointingly, it’s not real. It gives the impression it’s a quintessential piece of English history. However, the fact is, Bacardi only bought the land a few years ago in order to create a tourist attraction. Yes, the gin is made there. But, the buildings were previously a paper mill. Maybe it will be better in another 100 years or so, once it’s had the chance to develop its own history. Meantime, it’s more akin to a theme park.
