A Journey Back in Time

As we embarked on our latest adventure, the familiar hum of our RV engine brought back a flood of memories from my youth. Road-tripping across America with my family was a cherished tradition, and now, as a grandmother, I find myself reliving those moments with my husband by my side. Our destination this time was the iconic Yellowstone National Park, a place that has long captured the American imagination with its explosive geysers and breathtaking landscapes.

The choice to continue on the loop road or take a shortcut back toward the entrance was a reminder of the road trips of my past, where every decision led to new adventures. We opted for the shortcut, mindful of the fading daylight and the miles still ahead.

The audio tour’s optional detours allowed us to explore lesser-known parts of the park, where we encountered wildlife in their natural habitat. The sight of bison grazing in the Lamar Valley was a poignant reminder of the untamed beauty that defines Yellowstone.
